Dear colleague,

Thank you for your open feedback. It is very sad to read that you have these mixed feelings. Unfortunately, you don’t mention concrete examples why you do not feel comfortable being part of our team.

We do not perceive ourselves as a “perfect employer”, but we are working on getting better every day and are always willing to reflect and change the status quo. Still, this is only possible if we know the needs and struggles of our colleagues.

We’d also like to leave a few words regarding our performance feedback process. As communicated transparently, we established our competency model to get rid of individual negotiations. In our opinion, employees should be assessed by their performance in their particular area of expertise and their contribution to the success of our company, not by their negotiating skills.
That’s why we decided to implement a transparent competency and performance feedback model based on our core values and the required skill set for each position. The model enables us to take salary decisions not solely by the opinion of your direct lead, but include the feedback of the people you are working with most closely – your colleagues.
2018 was the implementation year and we are aware that our process is not perfect yet. Therefore, the main focus of our People and Culture team this year is to further develop the model into an even more transparent, motivating and future-oriented feedback and salary system that enables each and every team member to grow – personally and salary-wise.
