Great culture in theory but leadership communication needs improvement.

epilot has many great ideas when it comes to company culture, openness, and collaboration. Most colleagues are friendly, talented, and genuinely care about the product and customers. However, there is a noticeable gap between the company’s cultural values and how some senior leaders communicate.
Feedback is often delivered in a harsh or disrespectful way, even publicly. While this might not be intentional, it creates an atmosphere of fear and insecurity, especially for newer employees or those who are less confrontational. Some people adapt and build tolerance, but others feel demotivated or even consider leaving because of the tone.
There is also a lack of diversity in leadership - all management positions are currently held by men. This contributes to a feeling of “toxic masculinity” in how discussions and conflicts are handled, where empathy and emotional intelligence are undervalued.
epilot has strong potential and many people who truly care, but leadership would benefit from better communication training, more inclusion, and awareness of how words and tone impact others. With these improvements, the company could live up to the values it promotes.
