Arbeitsatmosphäre

The atmosphere highly depends on the team: Every team (a good hand full of product squads consisting of dev, product management, product design; Customer Success; Marketing; Sales) has its own culture and a very different way of working. So working with different teams = switching the culture context often. This is sometimes hard.

Kommunikation

There is a struggle to find a good way in between noise and signal as well as between async and sync communication. In the past 2 years, epilot established quite effective communication, but we still have a way to go until we reach highly efficient communication: especially between teams.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

The crew love is fantastic! If you're in the office, you can get all the great vibes. If you're working remotely, you'll still catch many!

Work-Life-Balance

This depends on the team you are working in. Within the design team, we have transparent rules & rituals that help us maintain a work-life system, that makes us professionally satisfied and keeps our individual energy levels pretty consistently high.

But I believe our work-life system is still pretty intense! We know that allowing periods of lower intensity is something we need to work on.

Fair, honest and solution-oriented. I would ask for a more consistent level of transparency & alignment across the board.

Interessante Aufgaben

I have the freedom to shape the most exciting work I can imagine. So far, no one has ever stopped me from doing a project I was passionate about.

If you're only waiting for tasks to be given to you and aren't proactively getting involved, you're most likely going to become a delivery monkey and won't work on the most exciting projects at all.

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen

Which older colleagues? Epilot is hiring a very young team. I often miss having highly experienced colleagues with 20+ years of subject matter knowledge.

Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein

A epilot, we're accelerating the energy transition. Coming from a more activistic mindset, I had difficulties adopting a more realistic perspective on how the market works and how we can impact it efficiently. I now see how our product and my work is helping – which is a significant motivation every day!

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

Very fair!

Karriere/Weiterbildung

No one is (as far as I know) being sent to specific training or events – which would be cool if knowledge gaps are identified. But I haven't seen epilot not supporting anyone who wanted to do a specific training/conference/.... The colleague who pushes it most in my team exceeds the standard education budgets you'd get in larger orgs.
