The people who actually do the work. Some genuinely talented colleagues, interesting projects and the occasional reminder that the company could be quite good if it focused more on delivering work and less on managing perceptions.
Also, the sound healing is certainly memorable.
The disconnect between the company's priorities and the reality of the people doing the work. Employees are told to be more profitable while workloads grow, clients are taken on without sufficient capacity, promotions move at glacial speed and salaries lag behind responsibilities. Meanwhile, HR has enough spare capacity for piano sessions, energy drums, sound healing and workshops on time and energy management.
There is something particularly amusing about being taught how to manage your time and energy by people who seem to have very little idea what the actual workload looks like
It is a fascinating model: the people generating the revenue are told to optimise their productivity, while the people responsible for the vibes are apparently optimising their chakras on company hours.
Perhaps spend a little less time on sound healing, energy drums and office piano sessions, and a little more time addressing the reasons people are stressed enough to need sound healing in the first place.
Set realistic client expectations. Stop selling more work than teams have hours to deliver. Make promotions and salary progression transparent. And perhaps consider rewarding competence with recognition rather than simply assigning it more work.
Also, if profitability is such a pressing concern, it might be worth examining whether the solution is actually fewer people doing more work while others organise the vibes.
-This is for the BRATISLAVA OFFICE since there is no separate entity-
Depends largely on whether you are one of management's favourites. Otherwise, expect a healthy combination of politics, egos and carefully managed good vibes.
Strong emphasis on appearing progressive, people-focused and full of good vibes. The branding is certainly more polished than some of the underlying management practices.
Quite manageable if you are not one of the people management considers competent.
The company is perfectly happy to hire people who don't necessarily have the qualifications or experience for the role, while the actual workload tends to land on the people who can reliably get things done.
So if you have the qualifications for the job, are competent and have a strong work ethic, congratulations! You have just volunteered for additional work. If, on the other hand, you are looking for somewhere that will happily hire you without the qualifications and where you can coast without attracting too much attention, this might actually be the place for you.
Career progression is available, assuming you have the patience to wait for it, the right internal positioning, and ideally no tendency to make the people above you feel professionally threatened.
If you are ambitious, competent and reasonably confident, you may discover that keeping you exactly where you are is considerably more convenient for the existing hierarchy than helping you progress.
Competitive with the concept of “maybe next year.”
Salaries are relatively low considering the level of responsibility, while promotions can take an impressively long time. The company seems particularly talented at increasing your responsibilities faster than your compensation.
Very committed to good vibes. Sound healing, energy drums and piano sessions certainly demonstrate an impressive commitment to employee wellbeing. Whether that same level of creativity extends to workload management and employee retention is another question.
There are good people, but the internal dynamics and favouritism make genuine teamwork difficult. Collaboration works particularly well when nobody's competence, opinions or position feel remotely threatening to management.
Experience is valued. Particularly when it comes with the right level of seniority and the appropriate willingness to protect the existing hierarchy.
This is probably where the company truly excels. Confidence and competence are welcome, provided they don't become inconvenient for anyone higher up the B2B hierarchy.
A fascinating approach to employee recognition: if you are a junior joining the company, congratulations, here is your shiny new MacBook.
If, however, you have been there for years and have actually learned how to do the job, you may be rewarded with a four-year-old piece of hardware that has survived several geological eras of corporate IT. Apparently, the newer your career, the newer your laptop.
A lot of communication. Not necessarily a lot of clarity.
A fascinating concept in theory. Promotions and opportunities may provide an interesting practical case study in why employees are advised not to compare themselves with one another.
The actual work can be interesting. Managing unrealistic workloads, insufficient hours and clients who expect a full-time employee for a fraction of one is also an excellent exercise in creativity.
I'm really glad to work here. Colleagues are helpful and answer quickly when you're stuck, and you get real responsibility early on. The clients and tasks are varied, and the atmosphere is good. There are lots of benefits I'm keen to use, plus a big, well-organised office with plenty of rooms and room to grow.
Cons: there's nowhere to take a nap at lunchtime :)
Front Row is a terrible place to work. There’s no job security at all, constant fear of layoffs, and the workload is completely unreasonable. You’re expected to overwork just to keep up, with little to no support from management. The pressure never stops, and it quickly burns you out. Definitely not worth it.
Sehr nettes Team! Ich habe mich auf jeden Arbeitstag gefreut.
Modern, digital, jung, amerikanisch
Toll!
The environment is very friendly and team bonding is too strong! Anyone would to work in here.
Ther is nothing that I can mention at this moment.
Dedicated workplace might help employees to get more organized at workplace.
Super Office in zentraler Lage.
- their expertise - they are real experts in terms of retail media and amazon
- the office
- Leadership trainings, especially for directors
- stop the hire and fire culture
- stop focusing only on billable hours,
Over the years, I was able to observe a tendency of so called elbow society, which is strongly developing. High performers, who are willing to invest a lot of over hours are very much appreciated and get promotions. If you are very good in presenting your self, if you are very outgoing, they see and appreciate you. A lot of colleagues though are quiet and introverted high performers, who are certainly not seen and appreciated. Instead, some even get fired. Or lets say "asked to leave".
Front Row is a company full of experts and everything they do, is with full heart and purpose. I really loved working with high professionals.
Officially, you can work whenever you want. The truth is, you have to reach a very high a mount of billable hours, which oftentimes is simply not possibly, due to the high number of internal responsibilities which are expected to be managed as well. So overhours are not only expected, but necessary, if you want to be seen adn appreciated
Depends on the level of over hours you are willing to invest.
Highly depends on the team. I loved my team.
The company is focusing on hiring young (and cheap?) colleagues
Highly depends on the lead. There are some really empathic and supportive ones, while you have some leads, especially some directors who are not. I think some leadership trainings could be helpful.
The new office is awesome. The micromanagement is not.
Communication is one of their super powers. Management communicates transparent, at least this is what they show. In fact, a lot of things are not properly communicated and brushed under the carpet. Im wondering why over the years so many colleagues where gone from one day to another, without any headsup or notice period.
The company is focusing on highly capable international talents, who they pay way under the market standard. Other than that, the payment depends on how urgent they need you. Some colleagues are earning way too less, while others were able to negotiate really high salaries, which are according to market standards. I can only recommend people to start talking about your salaries.
Within the last 2 years, I have seen at least 3 highly capable women leaving very fast after coming back from their maternity leave. Since the company is promoting itself as so family friendly and supporting, Im wondering why.
Im also wondering why the company consists of roughly 50% international colleagues, but the leads mostly are german or at least white colleagues? Also the management is 100% male. You can draw your conclusions yourself here.
if you are eager to learn, you can definitely take over very interesting responsibilities.
Colleagues, atmosphere in the office, remote work policy
Focus more in Diversity topics and especially leadership training!
Very polished image, which can also be seen on Social Media. Not all that glitters is gold though, especially now with the growth and visible culture change in the company.
Project work - sometimes very high workload, sometimes less. Overtime should be compensated though during the peak times.
I did not have the feeling there would be a way up for me.
I loved the office atmosphere and all my colleagues! People are very friendly, helpful and parties very fun.
There are a lot of young leaders who are not really equipped yet to be a leader or were simply appointed so to grow in their role I feel. Some should have better taken on an individual and not teamlead career path...
In think the company pays fairly for the agency world.
I agree with the previous comments that Front Row is a great place for international talents, but if you look at it on a leadership level, it is really only white, German speaking males.
So verdient kununu Geld.
