The company offers a modern office with up-to-date equipment, free drinks, and a selection of free food. Flexible hours and no time tracking provide occasional breathing room. Equality is genuinely respected, and age doesn’t affect how you’re treated. Depending on the team, collaboration can be supportive and engaging.
Competition is intense, and career growth often depends on favor from leading roles. Team leads can block requests, planning is inconsistent. Exciting projects are rare and require persistence or favoritism.
Management should step back from creative processes and allow teams to drive innovation independently. Teams should be smaller to improve collaboration and focus. All employees should have equal opportunities to develop their skills and express creativity. Clearer communication from management and more transparent career development and training options would also greatly improve the work environment.
The work atmosphere is competitive, with poor planning leading to periods of overload and downtime, though the experience can vary between teams.
Gameduell has a poor reputation among former employees, as many left due to dissatisfaction, mistreatment, or low pay.
Work-life balance is 'great', thanks to no time tracking and unpredictable downtimes, as long as you enjoy the chaos.
Career opportunities exist mainly through internal transfers, while training and development options are rarely communicated.
Salary and benefits depend heavily on initial negotiation, but there’s little room for significant increases afterward.
The company provides free parking but does not offer or subsidize a public transport ticket or a company bike (Job-Rad). The income from "for the planet"-offers gets barely donated.
Team cohesion varies greatly, with some teams working well together while others struggle due to competition and lack of trust.
Age doesn’t affect how you’re treated, but long-term employees often dominate the best tasks and engage in gossip, which can be frustrating for others.
Producers and team representatives act mostly as intermediaries between the team and management, often filtering requests or downplaying their urgency rather than fully advocating for the team.
The physical workplace conditions are very good, with a moderate office and up-to-date equipment.
Communication from management is often unclear and inconsistent, leading to misunderstandings and inefficiencies.
Equality is well implemented, with no noticeable difference in treatment between men and women.
Tasks are rarely engaging or challenging lately, and you often have to fight for exciting work or be in management's favor to get any interesting assignments.
Nice people, good compensation, save job, work life balance, events
A lot of bureaucracy and strong hierarchies.
Try to lean processes dramatically. It will make the company faster, motivate people to get involved and speed up decisions. A bottom-up culture for processes, decisions and feedback.
Every team has its own vibe, many peeps work from home. Overall OK.
A bit dusty from the outside, way cooler from the inside. There is no real company branding because of the different branded games.
Nothing to add, perfect!
Haven't experienced any effort or opportunity.
Really good, no need to complain.
Very good! They do a lot for it.
Cool within each team, could be better across teams.
They are appreciated and experienced. Company could invest more time/budget/effort/trainings to keep them pacing and motivated.
Collaborative, differs from team to team.
All good, nothing to complain about.
Regular meetings and updates, nothing special. Could be more transparent when it comes to goal setting, management decisions, processes.
Very divers and open.
Depends on opportunities, budget, goals and top-down decisions. But everyone can influence the own work somehow.
Viel Gemauschel, keine transparenten Fakten, fadenscheinige Begründungen, anonymes Mitarbeiterfeedback
Gute Work/Life Balance
Sehr freundliches, stressfreies Betriebsklima
Direkte Kommunikationswege
many goodies like food and events, flexibel working hours and homeoffice, many warm-hearted people, office space
since a long time no clear goals and success even though there are feedbacks and innovation goals and new managers, Scrum is very chaotic, management in disagreement, so many people come and go which doesn't feel like the same team culture anymore
be more efficient in projects and launch promising products so we have something to celebrate, management with same vision, new managers should also follow the team culture
Fresh food and sunny roof-top terrace
No clear management
No blockbuster games, only warm words
Alsmost no budget for development or education.
wages under average
No clear plans for future projects.
open space office, very loud
No clear communication and lots of miscommunication.
Only some "selected" employees receive all benefits, the majority does not count.
I joined GameDuell at the beginning of the year and the whole team is willing to learn new things! New technologies are introduced through internal Trainers and there is time for reviews&discussion.
At little German. With repoting and many decision makers... on the other hand you can do your thing!
More empowerment of the Teams...
really nice... ;-)
sports, table-tennis, lots of events...
could improve personal developement - nice format: GameDuell TechTalks
opened & international
2 half-yearly feedbacks...
Cool office & terrace
open-door policy
could be more cross-platform
So verdient kununu Geld.
