A middling employer
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
daily work with colleagues and direct managers is mostly positive. Teams are supportive and many people really care about their work and about each other. This is probably the main reason why many employees stay.
It is a company with good people and potential, but at the moment it is struggling with the direction of leadership, communication, and long-term planning. For someone at the beginning of their career or looking for a friendly environment, it can be acceptable. For those looking for clear career growth and stable strategy, it may be more difficult at this time.
Verbesserungsvorschläge
Communication with the top leadership has changed. Before there was an open question-and-answer session with the C-suite, and now it is removed. It was a way to ask questions in a direct way, and now it is more difficult to understand decisions or reasons behind them. It feels like there is less trust.
A senior leader that I respected decided to leave, and it was a disappointment. It gives the impression that the leadership is more closed now and less open to feedback from people with experience.
At the same time, there is a strong feeling of urgency in the company. Priorities are changing often and many ad-hoc tasks appear without a lot of explanation. This creates a very hectic way of working, and it is not always clear if we are focusing on the most important things.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
My experience at getolo is mixed. There are many kind and capable people, but the company is currently going through a difficult phase.
Over the last months, there has been a noticeable change in leadership style and priorities. Several colleagues I respected have already left, or are in the process of leaving. For many employees, there is a feeling of being slowly pushed out instead of supported to grow within the company. This creates uncertainty and affects motivation.

When three people in leadership positions leave within 3 months of one another? It gets a little suspicious.
Kommunikation
The removal of the open Q&A with leadership and changes to the town hall format have reduced transparency. It’s harder now to understand decisions and the reasoning behind them, which makes cross-team alignment more challenging.
