Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich

Now that they want people to come back to the office once a week for “team day” - it’s only really the colleagues.

Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich

Missing career growth opportunities, insufferable working atmosphere, the many shifting priorities that make absolutely no sense, the missing raises - this is all leading to people burning out and losing their motivation. Even upping the nilo.health hours will not help, if the company is the main reason for people feeling miserable.

Verbesserungsvorschläge

To the leadership team: set more feasible goals, communicate a clear strategy, that people understand and get excited about. Respect timelines and stop switching priorities like it’s a sport.
Be near the people again and don’t make yourselves unapproachable.
Live those values that you preach so much about. Maybe then the good employees will stop leaving.
Sometimes you do not know everything, so listen to the people. There’s a reason why they were hired. If you are the smartest in the room, you’re in the wrong room.

Arbeitsatmosphäre

It used to be great, but evolved into a very tensed and pressured environment. The only good thing are the colleagues (excluding C-Level), hence 3 stars.

Kommunikation

Where to start? Back in the day, they had Q&As at the end of townhalls or “ask me anything” sessions this is has long been removed. There is no opportunity to question decisions or numbers, C-Level does not want to know what you have to say and most certainly does not wish to be questioned in front of everyone.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

This is the only good aspect of this company. Most of the people really care about their work and the responsibility their roles bring. They are a beautiful support system within this turmoil. They are the main reason why it’s so hard to leave. Sadly many people that were with the company for years are leaving.

Work-Life-Balance

Depends on your role and department. In my experience it was quite alright.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

There are no words that could describe the type of behaviour. It feels like being led by rookies with ego problems. If you dare to challenge or express your opinions/concerns rest assured you will not be kept around for long.
Priorities constantly shift, which gets very frustrating and frankly makes you lose faith in leadership.

Interessante Aufgaben

Highly dependent of your role and department.

Gleichberechtigung

There is a DE&I committee - at least they try.

Arbeitsbedingungen

Tech equipment is good, however, not everyone has the privilege of air conditioning in the office :)

Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein

You can take a few days off to do some charity work, which is nice. The people team really tries.

Gehalt/Benefits

Below average. And yes before this is commented - it is below average for existing employees and funny enough these good people are denied raises, but for some reason there’s always budget for new hires in higher positions.

Image

Everybody is miserable and everybody says the same thing - please replace C-Level. Everyone wants to leave but can’t either because of the people or the current job market situation.

Karriere/Weiterbildung

Development opportunities are fairly limited in terms of promotion. They do offer a learning budget for professional development which won’t help your promotion internally.

Dear former getoli,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are sorry to read that your experience, particularly towards the end of your time with us, did not reflect the positive workplace we strive to create.

We appreciate that you highlighted the support of your colleagues, as we know that collaboration and the people within our teams are an important part of our culture. At the same time, we take your feedback regarding communication, leadership, career development and changing priorities seriously. Creating an environment where employees feel heard, supported and have opportunities to grow remains an important focus for us.

We already have regular monthly Town Hall meetings in place, where employees have the opportunity to stay informed about company developments and ask questions openly and anonymously. In addition to these regular meetings, we have introduced several further initiatives over the past months to strengthen transparency, communication and development opportunities across the company. This includes bringing back regular Ask Me Anything sessions with our C-Level Team, creating additional opportunities for open dialogue and direct exchange around company developments. We also recently introduced a Career Framework to provide employees with more clarity around career paths, expectations and opportunities for professional growth.

We know that meaningful change takes time, and building trust requires continuous listening and action. Feedback like yours helps us better understand different perspectives and identify areas where we can continue to improve as an employer.

Thank you once again for sharing your experience with us.

Warm Regards,
Your People Team at getolo
