Avoid such massive Lay-offs! Not the Holidu I know. Why not find better ways? Need to try very hard to build trust again. Not sure how.

Quite bad now after nearly 10% get fired. People are looking for other options and don't know, if management can still be trusted. How can I enjoy the summer party with many colleagues gone???

- Bonus System der Account-Manager besser ausarbeiten. Sehr kompliziert und etwas konfus.
- Urban Sportsclub oder Hansefit für MitarbeiterInnen
- Pool Auto für Standort um Kunden zu besuchen. Günstiger und einfacher als alles über Sixt zu machen.

Technische Ausstattung auf den neuesten Stand! Wahlweise Mac oder Windows. 5 Sterne würde ich geben wenn, Iphone statt Samsung als Diensthandy (aber das ist jammern auf hohen Niveau ;)

Kommunikation

Moderne Tools für die Firmenkommunikation (Slack, etc.), Zeit und Raum für sogenannte Coffee-Chats die bei der Firma eine hohe Bedeutung habebn

All in all, this is an amazing place to work at and appreciated by most of the colleagues. Despite the company being quite young and growing fast lately, there are some colleagues who have been with the company for a longer time (>5 years) which is a lot in this sector.
Learning and growing is part of the culture, people are motivated and passionate about the product, but also have hobbies outside of work.
The management is open and transparent, building a lot of trust.

The number one reason why this is great company to work for are the people originating from all over the world, always willing to help, learn, and have a good time together!

A very good mix of motivated colleagues who are very passionate about their work, but also value time outside of work and respect weekends, evenings, and vacation.

Regular tech and knowledge sharing through presentations during work hours organised by employees during. Development budget and study days help to grow and learn. I see a tiny bit of improvement potential in the possibilities to spent the learning budget is spent, as a lot of it is spent on ordering books :)

Salary is fair, company benefits have a bit of improvement potential, even though it should be noted that benefits have improved a lot lately and are revised on regular basis.

There are not many "older" colleagues, however, "older" lies in the eye of the beholder. There are numerous colleagues who have a family, the low amount of "older" colleagues is probably due to company domain and the relatively young age of the company.

Engineering Managers do a lot too make employees feel good, e.g. with regular 1:1 sessions, personal development planning, career advice, or removing development barriers.

Latest technology, equipment for home office. Spacious and bright office with free snacks.

Communication is very transparent and clear on all levels including top management. Company and department goals are clear, current numbers are presented on a regular basis in company-wide meetings.

Gleichberechtigung

Hard to describe, but there is a diversity and Inclusion committee with regular surveys trying to make the company a more diverse and inclusive place.

Interessante Aufgaben

Intesting domain (vacation rental search engine) combined with challenging, yet manageble tasks, and a tech stack that is even more interesting. Due to the fast growth in the last years, there is quite some technical debt, but it is getting better and could be a lot worse!

Holidu is still a growing start-up, sometimes that means we don't get all the benefits afforded people working at larger, more established firms.

Lots of opportunities and flexibility. Values which are actually lived every day and not just mandated from above. Very picky in hiring, but that's probably a good thing, too. Great prospects for the company in general.

- The downside of flexiblity is the lack of process maturity sometimes.
- Not enough time provided for self-guided learning.

Haven't noticed any issues, but there also aren't very many older colleagues. The few that there are aren't treated worse than others, as far as I can tell.

Generally, very supportive, respectful, and respected leadership team. No political games (or at least hardly noticable for my perspective), no departments battling each other, no silly red tape.

Very good hardware and well equipped office. Some of the furniture could be a bit more ergonomic, but most of the time people are working from home anyways.

Lots of transparency and respect for the individual. In general, people are communcating as equals, no matter what their status or position.

- Keine unnötigen Prozesse und langsame Ticket-Systeme

Bisher keine negativen Anzeichen - aber bitte darauf aufpassen, dass die Kultur durch das schnelle Wachstum nicht beeinträchtigt wird und die Identität sich dadurch verändert. Gerade das moderne und schnelle Umfeld macht die Firma für sämtliche A-Mitarbeiter interessant. Mehr Prozesse und eine Entschleunigung würden zum Nachteil werden.

Die Pandemie hat jedem Unternehmen in diesem Punkt sicherlich einiges abverlangt, umso wichtiger ist die Erkenntnis, wie schnell sich ein Unternehmen von einer Lockdown getrieben Zeit erholt und ob die Arbeitsatmosphäre sich dadurch verändert hat.

In vielen Firmen sind die Werte eines Unternehmens lediglich ein aus Management-Büchern auferlegter Leitfaden der kaum Beobachtung findet.

Bei Holidu werden die Werte aktiv gelebt und sind ein fester Bestandteil der DNA!

Das Image innerhalb Firma ist super - jeder steht hinter den Entscheidungen und würde die Dienstleistungen anderen empfehlen.

Nach außen hin, muss in der Zukunft jedoch, mehr dafür getan werden, bekannter zu werden, denn selbst vor meiner Anstellung war Holidu für meine Familie und Freunde ein Fremdwort.
