A place to stay
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
idealo is probably the most people-oriented employer you could ever imagine as a sales person. You'll indeed be given the flexibility and work-life balance many offer but hardly allow - and there's no elbow mentality since targets are normally conceptualised as team targets. Along the way, you'll have the chance to gain lots of e-commerce knowledge as data and project insights are exchanged through All Hands and team meetings. There's also a good yearly training budget everybody can claim - and if you're not only aiming at finding a nice workplace, but also a good community, this is for you!
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Keeping it's great culture alive during these 'remote first' days is something idealo is struggling with a bit. Far-reaching possibilities for retros & feedbacks have lost relevance over time...whether you benefit from them or not seems to be up to your leaders' attitude towards them more and more as there's no recognisable effort from the people department to promote best practices at all levels. The basis is solid - now, it needs to be understood that keeping the spirit up is a constant challenge...and that employees will need support to revive all the good ideas, the leaders just as much as their teams.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
Management is very open to new ideas - no matter from whom they come.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
Great at recruiting team players.
Work-Life-Balance
Lots of holidays, team days and definitely not a context where overhours are the normality.
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
Involvement in lots of local projects & far-reaching corporate climate action activities (own forest in Africa, carbon-neutral for a long time already)
Karriere/Weiterbildung
Great opportunities for internal changes and lots of investment into training hubs.
