Senior VFX Artist - New Mobile Game

We are looking for a Senior VFX Artist to join our in-house art team working on a new mobile game. Bring your passion for gaming, VFX, and Tech Art. Learn continuously by interacting with our experienced team of Artists and Game Development specialists. We are enthusiastic about what we do, and we have fun doing it!

Your mission

• Create high-quality real-time VFX for a 3D mobile game, including combat effects, abilities, impacts, environmental effects, transitions, UI effects, and reward moments.
• Build and improve art pipelines, tools, exporters, validation systems, and automation workflows.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain shaders and materials suitable for mobile performance constraints.
• Collaborate with engineers and artists on VFX pipelines, tools, performance profiling, and implementation workflows.

Your skill set

• Expertise. You can showcase your professional experience (4+ years) based on an impressive portfolio.
• Knowledge. You have a solid understanding of graphics math and a willingness to keep learning and improving in this area.
• Coding. You are proficient in coding with C#, Python, HLSL, and CG Shader language or similar languages.
• 3D. You are experienced in modeling, skinning, and animation.
• Tools. You are skilled in using Houdini, Blender Geometry Nodes, or other comparable software. 
• AI. You are willing to embrace new technologies and keen on AI-assisted production.
• Tech. You are proficient in using Unity3D. You understand technical constraints and are able to integrate your assets into the engine yourself.
• Team play. You are a proactive communicator, enjoy sharing knowledge, and are confidently interacting with an international/intercultural team of experts.
• Qualification. You have completed a university degree or comparable training in the field of graphics.
• English as company language.You feel comfortable in using your excellent English skills in both spoken and written form daily.

• Compensation & Fair Play. We have career models as well as market-competitive salary grids in place that ensure that we treat our employees fairly. For this position the regular level salary starts at € 50,000 and the senior level salary starts at € 65,000. The salary ranges for other seniority levels differ. Your seniority level (junior, regular, senior) will be evaluated during the interview process.
