Here at Volocopter,we are the pioneers of electric air taxis (electric vertical takeoff andlanding aircraft - eVTOLs). We have pledged to bring sustainable urban airmobility to life by getting electric air taxis off the ground in a way thatcomplements existing transportation options in megacities across the globe. In2011 we carried out the first-ever crewed flight of a fully electricmulticopter and have since conducted more than 2,000 public and private testflights across the world (www.volocopter.com).

Your mission during thisflight:

You support us in embedded software development, including both implementation and verification, to achieve certified software that enables certification of our Volocopter aircrafts. 

• You develop software, tools and scripts to achieve DO-178C objectives.
• You are responsible for software verification to test the developed software package. 

Job requirements

Check in your professional skills:

• You are currently enrolled in Computer Science / Electrical  Engineering
• You are familiar with C and Python
• You have experience with embedded programming, especially experience on the following microcontrollers would be a plus: TI TMS570LC4357 or NXP MPC5777C
• You are comfortable with debugging software in laboratory environment  
• You are proficient in technical writing and effective communication in English
• You show an organized work style
• You are reliable and responsible

Preferred skills:

• Experience in requirements engineering using applicable tools (i.e. Doors, RV&S, ...)
• Knowledge of software lifecycle and CM tools (Jira, Git, Svn)
• Software verification experience
• MATLAB /Simulink experience
