Your Role

VTS is undergoing an exciting transformation, expanding its global footprint while introducing new IT systems, customer programs, and digital service capabilities. As Global Field Service Manager, you will play a key role in this journey by driving the implementation of standardized processes across our global field service organization. Working closely with Customer Centers and divisional teams, you will establish best practices, lead change initiatives, and ensure sustainable adoption of new ways of working. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who excels at change management, builds strong partnerships, and translates strategy into operational results. By enhancing performance, operational excellence, and service effectiveness, you will contribute directly to sustainable growth and customer success.

Key Objectives

• Improve resource utilization and field service capacity planning.
• Establish transparent and actionable performance reporting.
• Increase productivity and revenue per service engineer.
• Enhance operational efficiency, safety, and service quality.
• Prepare the organization for the future through digitalization, automation, AI, and remote service solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with Customer Centers

• Build strong relationships with regional and local service teams.
• Provide practical support tailored to local business needs and market conditions.

Standardize and Improve Operations

• Define and implement standardized field service processes globally.
• Ensure consistent adoption and execution across Customer Centers.
• Identify and lead improvement initiatives that enhance customer experience, productivity, and profitability.

Optimize Workforce Performance

• Improve workforce planning, utilization, and competence development.
• Drive the use of planning and reporting tools to increase transparency and efficiency.

Drive Service Excellence

• Develop and implement global service strategies and operating models.
• Partner with the VTS Academy to strengthen service and leadership capabilities through targeted training.

Shape Future Service Operations

• Design scalable planning and execution models that support growth and profitability.
• Champion digital service solutions, automation, and remote support capabilities.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Field Service Operations, Service Delivery, or Operations Management in an international environment.
• Proven experience leading operational transformation and change initiatives.
• Strong expertise in service planning, scheduling, workforce optimization, and process standardization.
• Experience implementing operating models and driving adoption of new systems and ways of working.
• Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills across functions and cultures.
• Hands-on, results-oriented leader with both strategic and operational capabilities.
• Passion for continuous improvement, digitalization, and operational excellence.

Job location

We are flexible with the location - preferably in Germany (Cologne), Belgium, Czech Republic, UK, China or India.
