I like the general culture here at limehome. The healthy mix of competitiveness, teamwork, growth and commitment really makes my experience at limehome like it's designed to stay!
Hands down the best team I've ever worked with! Everyone is super open, engaged and responsible.
I can only say the value #oneteam is being taken very serious and lived here to it's fullest!
Very supporting, open and transparent management!
Great office and you pretty much get everything you need to feel good.
The most transparent and inclusive management I've seen so far.
The issue isn't finding or getting interesting tasks, it is choosing the right amount to keep a nice work-life balance. With the growth trajectory, there are way too many interesting tasks.
Great and motivated people
Challenging tasks & alot of responsibility that helps you grow quickly
Cool benefits, beautiful office and fun events
Everyone is treated on eye level no matter the seniority
They expect you to put limehome first - high expectations, high workload
Invest in people more (salary, job ticket, learning opportunities)
A lot of work and high expectations so if you struggle with prioritization/setting boundaries you’ll end up doing a lot of overtime
Leadership positions are expected to work overtime/be available all the time
No compensation for overtime/no time tracking
Salary is good but in relation to the workload and the high cost of living in Munich it should be higher
Salary increases depend in your manager pitching you and fighting for you so very dependent on your manager
Best colleagues I’ve ever had, great events that make it easy to get to know colleagues from other departments
Mostly young people as it’s a startup
Depends on the manager - some are great, others are more difficult to work with
There are All Hands & OKR Fairs so a lot is shared but sometimes I would appreciate more transparency
Most female leaders have recently left so currently there’s a gender imbalance
You get a lot of responsibility very early on
How we came through the crisis and are a winner of the crisis, even though we operate in the hospitality sector.
We have only been on the market for 4 years (2 of them during Covid) and have almost 200 employees on board and are active in 4 countries. this is the result of hard work and I am happy to be a part of it.
I feel that sometimes limehome takes opinions (of employees who are not 100% commited) too seriously.
Be a little braver. You're doing great.
It's what you make of it, that's my opinion here.
There are many platforms/opportunities given. There are regular performance & feedback rounds, Lunch & Learn Sessions, etc.
I think it's a growing pain that employees are no longer as committed as they were at the beginning. I personally think it's a shame that Kununu is used for this. Therefore point deduction because it has an impact on the image I have.
You have the possibility to organise your working time flexibly and freely. This does not require a 60-hour week. It's always up to you how good is your competences in self-management. My manager helped me find the best approach and there are several options to get into the work-life-flow or work-life-balance.
On all levels, there are many opportunities to develop, of course there is no potter's course in it (limtless learning), in the end it should be a limitless win-win situation for the employee and for limehome.
In the end, you learn most on the job, learning by doing and it is also up to myself.
Development requests are also dealt with on a fairly individual basis, depending on which strengths need to be strengthened or which hurdles I have in my daily business.
Performance-based culture, which I particularly like.
Salary is always a subjective perception. I put it in context of what's going on, looking at the current hospitality market and general job market and startup scene, then a no brainer.
Definitely a USP at limehome. I have never worked in such a diverse, international and really talented company. You can't just demand colleague cohesion, you will be invited to be an active part on this. That doesn't mean you have to be extroverted. Rather, it depends on you what you make out of it.
The limehome culture appeals essentially of course to no one before retirement. In addition, if I consider that our agile way of working is also not 100% affine for potential elderly people. Therefore, totally okay for me.
Beautiful office in the Werksviertel (Ostbahnhof) with terraces (yes there are two of them) and modern equipment. You have several options for example working at home (hybrid working) or be in the office the whole week, etc. #designed2stay. There is a large kitchen, meeting facilities, quiet working areas, after-work possibilites and much more.
For a fast-growing company, there are different platforms (Allhands, Slack channels etc.). We get insight into all company-wide KPIs and also company initiatives, as far as it is relevant for us. And that is okay for an almost 200-people-company.
Of course, there is always potential for improvement, but as far as possible, everything is communicated transparently, quickly and in the right channels. The bad ratings I read here should ask themselves whether they only consume information when it is handed to them on a silver platter or whether they proactively demand it. limehome is growing from a start-up into a scale-up which is acting european-wide, so it is clear that we can no longer communicate in the same way as we did in the early stage.
I can only speak as a woman here. Women have the same opportunities for promotions and any other opportunities at limehome, I feel that it makes no difference what gender I am. In the end, it's the performance and what development I had, that counts.
Hey, I'm part of it and I'm building something big here, so YES interesting tasks are available.
nice office but much overtime
long hours for low salary
they are not able to keep the good people for long as they do not offer good career perspectives or good salary. so motivation dies and people leave to work somewhere else
salary is bad for munich, no other social benefits, education not taken into account
teams get along internally but there isn't much communication between the teams
to much overtime, no overtime compensation, everybody is stressed
no transparency, bad reviews are commented on, but nothing changes internally after them. they want you to speak up with constructive criticism but when you do, you are devalued or they tell you you are overreacting
no females in leading roles at all, all head of's and vp's are male, every once female leadership position is replaced by men
- Great benefit by staying in the limehomes for a discounted rate
- Cool colleagues and events
- Great learning curve
- Nice office location
- Bad work-life balance
- Sustainability not a priority
- Gender inequality
- No safe space for employees
- Hire a more diverse team in upper management (male vs female share)
- Make sure employees feel safe and encouraged to give feedback and the feedback is acted upon
- Pay fair salaries not only to the management
- Hire more people to make sure employees don't have 50-60h weeks
Fun colleagues, nice events and a cool office space
Many overhours are required to get the job done however to the outside the company presents itself as a pioneer for a healthy work life balance with a "well-being week" per year...Many people are overworked, overhours are taken for granted and if you raise your voice about it you will not be taken seriously.
You have the chance to develop yourself by the tasks you are given and learn on the go, however there are no training opportunities apart from that.
Compared to other start-ups the company in my opinion does not pay enough especially for fulltime junior roles. Rents in Munich are very high and the salaries are not adapted according to what is happening to prices at the moment. When it comes to higher roles I feel like salaries are better but not if you count in the many overhours. Nevertheless for interns and working students its quite good I would say.
I was quite ashamed when the company launched their "we care" website which should demonstrate how sustainable the company is but limehome does not even do the basics like trash separation.
Within the teams yes but some colleagues had a strong hierarchical feel to them and you could feel it.
There are not many older colleagues but I wouldn't say there is any unfairness towards them.
In general I have a feeling that female empowerment is not lived by most of the upper management team. All VPs are male and even head positions are mainly filled by men. This is a real disaster in my opinion thinking about how a company can benefit from a diverse team. Advertising yourself as a diverse company is just a joke when you look at the male/female share in higher roles. In general I had the feeling that if you were raising your voice about something you did not like, it was not taken seriously and was rather used against you so you did not feel safe to say anything.
The old office had a great location but was very dark however I heard the new office is very nice and light. There is only little budget but expectations are high.
Not very transparent compared to the companies I used to work for before especially in times of crisis like what impacts it will have on the business & employees. Many decisions were taken without involving people that were directly impacted.
As mentioned above I don't think women have a fair chance to make a great career outside of "typical" female departments like marketing or HR.
The tasks are challenging and you have lots of ownership to develop your skillset.
Flexible Arbeitszeiten, Home Office, Limecation, Nilo.
Nettes Kollegen
Pünktlichkeit im Gehalt
Top
Überstunden sind normal und oft notwendig; Immenses Firmenwachstum fordert stetig die Mitarbeiter und schafft oftmals Überforderung;
Kein wirkliches Engagement erkennbar
Absolutely amazing office in Munich and work hard, play hard culture. Any colleague would be open for a chat and ready to help, just ask!
Not toooo well know (yet). But as soon as people look at investors, funding rounds & CVs of some team members, they are usually impressed.
Well, its a start-up. But management emphasized to take breaks and enjoy your free time. Home office obviously no problem at all.
Except signing contracts I dont remember using pen & paper. Green energy for the apartments.
Personal growth is a main column of the companies values. Some people at really young age have grown into tremendous resonsibility here.
The best thing about working there. We are on a mission together at work and often also outside of it, so if you like to be active, you will find peers :)
After an internship, a position as working student was being created for me individually. After the first projects were done, we openly dicussed how I could contribute next and when I expressed interest in a different department, I was totally encouraged to go my route and grow in a new field as well. MDs totally down to earth & fun.
Amazing office, coffee & drinks, table tennis etc. All equipment I could wish for.
My start was postponed due to Covid but was able to join soon after the outbreak. Management tries to be transparent, especially when asked proactively.
Absolutely fair and even got a raise without asking.
Seems like it, even though hard to assess as a male.
I doubt that there are places out there were you get more freedom as an intern / working student than here. I got access to extremely insighful client meetings etc, even without asking for it. If you have interest / expertise in a field, you will get room for it if it can contribute to the company.
So verdient kununu Geld.
