Strong team spirit in the past, today distrust and high turnover
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Very strong team spirit in the past
Bright, friendly office in a central location
Free snacks, fruit, coffee and soft drinks
Self-managed working hours
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Information is sometimes withheld between colleagues
Long-serving employees are not valued and no effort is made to keep them
Salary gap between existing staff and new hires
Promised career steps do not materialize
Development of management in general and the missing trust
Verbesserungsvorschläge
Base salary and promotion decisions on transparent criteria, and show real appreciation for long-serving employees, including making an effort to retain them. After all, it was exactly these long-standing employees who went the extra mile for a very long time to move the company forward. I would also like to see more women in leadership roles.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
In the past, collaboration across all departments was built on trust and warmth. Everyone worked toward a common goal. For about two years now, I have increasingly experienced distrust and individual interests taking priority.
Kommunikation
There are regular information sessions, but the really important topics are not presented transparently, even there. Over the last two years, I have repeatedly seen entire teams suddenly disappear. These decisions felt like they came out of nowhere and surprised everyone.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
Team spirit used to be the company's greatest strength. Today, personal advantage is more often the priority, driven by pressure and the fear of being fired. I have sometimes seen colleagues withhold information to stay ahead instead of working as a team. I have seen this damage some long-standing friendships. In fairness, there are still a few colleagues who stick together firmly.
Work-Life-Balance
Working hours are largely self-managed. Under high pressure, though, this can sometimes be difficult to put into practice.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
I have experienced that things go well mainly for those who aim to please management. Those who have a different opinion have a much harder time, even when they argue it calmly and objectively. Long-serving employees and their loyalty to the company are not appreciated enough. No effort is made to retain them. On the contrary, I get the impression that people are relieved when they leave.
Interessante Aufgaben
In meantime... not really.
Gleichberechtigung
There are hardly any women in leadership positions.
Arbeitsbedingungen
The office is bright and friendly, centrally located, and offers free snacks, fruit, coffee and soft drinks. Unfortunately, fewer and fewer people are in the office, so it often feels lonely.
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
There are cloth towels in some places, and the office is nearly paperless. On the other hand, there is a lot of business travel, much of it by plane.
Gehalt/Benefits
The longer you stay with the company, the harder it is to advance in salary. New hires often negotiate more. As a result, there are sometimes large salary gaps.
Image
The company used to stand for trust and team spirit. For two years now, I have experienced an Americanization of the culture, with a lot of hiring and firing. That no longer fits what made this company special.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
Career paths existed for many, but not for everyone. I was promised a perspective several times, but it was never delivered. I have also seen management favorites promoted where I could not see the qualification for the role.
