Openness to innovation and change, flexibility, responsible and interesting tasks
Expand the management level to create more structures, stronger employer brand
The atmosphere among colleagues is relaxed, everyone is very helpful, and you can quickly get into contact with people outside your own team.
We are a cool company, but unfortunately still somewhat inconspicuous to the outside world.
Thanks to flexible working hours, you get a good handle on your work-life balance.
The team spirit among colleagues is great!
You are provided with very modern IT equipment, but the office space could be made even more attractive.
Communication within the company is very transparent and open, even if it doesn't always work perfectly. Feedback is welcome and appreciated.
Due to the size and age of the company, the decision-making paths are still very short and the room for initiative is very large. Ideas can be introduced and directly implemented without having to turn around several loops. I enjoy that very much!
Hybrid work, modern tech stack, motivated colleagues and interesting topics.
My advice would be to hire more product experts with payment know how. The tech expertise in the company is really good. But we are really lacking payment industry experts to drive the product vision.
Nice colleagues, interesting tasks, 2 week sprints.
Backed by the REWE group, but the visibility in the payment bubble needs to be enhanced.
I can't complain, it gets stressful here and there but we want to get things done, right?
There is a budget per person, but you need to ask for it, totally fine in my opinion.
It's a matter of negotiation. I am happy with my salary.
I think things like an extra vacation pay, christmas money or VWL would be something people would really appreciate.
I can't tell.
Great colleagues, we are trying to do team buildings whenever it is possible, we also have quarterly company events and nice possibilities for hackathons in the broader rewe group.
The average age is relatively young, but we also have some older colleagues which are totally included and respected for there knowledge.
My line manager is really kind and always has an open ear for every topic I have. He encourages me to involve myself and has the right portion of being pushy to leave my comfort zone. Thumbs up.
You get top notch hardware, all licenses you need and the overall toolstack is modern and cloud native.
Indeed a great environment to work with state of the art technology.
Okayish..
Great topics, interesting industry.
cool product, cool tech stack, good tool landscape overall, smart and driven folks, lot of space to bring ideas and have an impact
communication top-down can be improved, stronger employer brand, more efficiency when it comes to decision-making
have all the things I need to be able to do my job, as I am mostly remote, having 2 kids, I do not have always the "right" environment - my "problem"
really cool company in terms what it is doing, product-wise, very innovative, but we do have quite some to do's when it comes to strengthening the brand and "marketing" ourselves better
having 2 kids can be often a "far stretch", but paymenttools provides flexibility to manage my time accordingly
did not get much involved in this, but sustainability is an important topic
employee education budget and you get what you ask for, if you ask for it
really cool people, very friendly
noticed we have several colleagues who are over 2 decades in the company and they are very much appreciated and recognized which is cool
the CW office is really cool and big, Berlin office is really nice as well thus cant complain - can come anytime I wants. We are in a change phase thus we have couple of building blocks to tackle, but interesting tasks
as we are in a change phase we are improving how we convey ideas & updates, but sometimes its not that straight-forward top-down, but that is everywhere
salary-wise I do think we are offering market standard, but we do miss some other incentives and perks - which will come by time
Qualify your leadership team. An actually good vision is ruined by unsympathetic, unprofessional and inexperienced leadership. The fluctuation speaks for itself.
The corporate culture is characterized by fear. A collaborative and appreciative work environment is sought in vain.
The possibility to work in a home office and generally a high flexibility. Here, however, I experience a lot of individual regulations. I don't know if it's like that for everyone.
Very good at the employee level. The colleagues stick together. That's why it's sad to see so many go.
I haven’t experienced any difference to younger colleagues.
Probably the worst part. Management and senior leadership (with one exception) act unprofessionally and regularly get lost in micro management. If you are one of the chosen ones, your luck. If not, then get a tough skin or rather quit right away. Basically, the focus of the management level is to cut a good figure in front of financiers and the board of directors.
Free choice of hardware. Offices are ok but not really Start up like.
There is a lot of communication. Unfortunately, this often happens in a headless and unprofessional manner. New communication and decision-making channels are constantly being created or regular meetings initiated.
Not much to complain here. But lack of transparency.
There must be a reason why you look in vain for women at management level.
The original vision was inspiring. Since then, much has been lost in the day-to-day business and justification culture.
I guess it‘s what everyone answers in our „happiness-surveys“ as well: the people!
The people in the teams are really cool. And it‘s sad to see that under an empowering leadership they could all work out an amazing product and grow so much better!
Know your people! Try to understand what they are working on. And if you don‘t have the time to talk to them, let them do their job and trust them.
Stop micro manage. :-)
If you hire experts, give them power. If you know it better, do your job alone.
Me personally I am afraid of the leadership and to ask for help
We are not on a level with our competitors.
One thing I love about the job is that you feel responsible for your job and you get this responsibility in the same way. We have flexible worktimes and nobody is controlling you.
When I started they told me about regular feedback meetings where you talk about how you want to improve, what your goals are and stuff. I really do improve but nobody notice it and nobody has time to talk about it.
But you get money for external trainings.
There is a sustainability project from a colleague from the design team which has amazing goals. But it doesn‘t seem like part of the strategy… But after two years Paymenttools doesn‘t have a brand identity or corporate values anyway. So it‘s hard to identify with the company.
Toxic work environment creates the clostest friendships, right? You need to stick together to keep a positive mind.
I guess the positive ratings that says something different are the lucky ones that comes from the REWE Group or have another close connection to leadership. So these people are kind of part of the „leadership-circle“
It‘s a benefit that you can choose your device! On the other hand we hope that our new office space will be a lovely and cozy place.
There is the team leadership and the team workers. The leadership is rarely transparent about failure. It‘s more fake which gives the employees the feeling that‘s the right way…
A female colleague from mine were told „to act more in the background“… that describes it quite good.
For me personally I like my job and the projects I work on.
Yes we have a lot of work to do but that´s something quite normal. You alsways have more work and opportunities than you can handle
The company belongs to REWE so you get all the benefits of a big company.
Could be better but is not really bad either

There's not much left. And if the job situation were a little better right now, I'd be gone.
You do your job and let others do theirs. Leadership should lead and care about the well-being of the company, not have a say in topics they don't know anything about.
The atmosphere between colleagues is often warm, but is toxified by the management level. The general climate is therefore a bad one and characterized by insecurity. Either the management level is not there and does not care, or it becomes involved on the most micro level as if out of nowhere. The chaos is simply unbearable.
Ok, but you feel unsatisfied after work.
Some try to initiate after-work events, but there's not much of that left now either.
Simply bad. Always friendly in conversation, but behind the back you hear other things. Opinions are welcome as long as they are not critical.
you get what you need.
Everything is a secret. Nobody knows anything, except rumors.
I do not feel equalized.
