International colleagues! No racism!
Employees are not valued. There is always talk of cost-cutting measures! No trust in employees working from home. Salaries. No works council!
You have to think about your employees! If you only allow working from home 1.5 days a week, then that has to apply to all employees. Where is the equality? Finally adjust salaries to the market!
Core working hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Working from home is not encouraged. Employees are only allowed to work from home 1.5 days per week. This rule does not apply to all employees. Some employees or departments are allowed to work from home 2 days per week.
Own Academy
Colleagues who have been with the company for years
have to fight for a pay rise. Newly hired employees receive a higher salary. No Christmas bonus. 12 fixed salaries.
Nothing!!!
As mentioned above:
The company suffers from numerous critical issues. Salaries are unfair, often below market standards, with minimal increases that do not reflect performance or inflation, and recognition for good work is nearly nonexistent. Training and development opportunities are scarce, and transparency in decision-making is poor, leaving employees frustrated and undervalued. Management and leadership are weak, with unclear goals, inconsistent decisions, favoritism, and little concern for employees’ voices or well-being. Overall, the combination of unfair compensation, lack of support, and poor leadership creates a demoralizing environment with low trust, motivation, and career prospects.
The company (management) should genuinely listen to employees feedback and take real action to make them feel valued. Providing proper recognition and fair compensation for the work performed is essential. Relying on empty words or speeches from management will only result in the loss of experienced and loyal employees. Warm thank-yous are no longer sufficient; the company must prioritize a thorough revision of salaries and ensure that employees receive what they truly deserve.
The working atmosphere is poor and demoralizing. Salaries are ridiculously low, and increases are often below the yearly inflation rate. Is important to emphasize that there are no bonuses. Employees are treated unequally, with some receiving extra benefits while others get nothing. Management does not praise or recognize employees at all. Decisions are unfair, especially about salaries, creating distrust and low morale. People feel undervalued and ignored. Communication is weak and teamwork suffers. Promotion opportunities are scarce and often unfairly distributed. Poor management decisions are destroying motivation, loyalty, trust, and the overall functioning of the organization.
There is huge frustration and disappointment within the company, particularly regarding management and planning. Trust is virtually nonexistent. Employees speak up repeatedly, but their voices are ignored and they are treated as unimportant. Leaders do not advocate for their employees rights (and even when they do they are NOT listened), and management shows even less concern. As a result, the company’s public image bears little resemblance to the reality experienced by those who work there.
Work-life balance is very very bad due to understaffed teams, excessive working hours, low pay, and unrealistic project requirements. Management knows how to demand high performance and ignore overwork, but when it comes to fair compensation, both eyes are closed. Employees rarely receive (except for those on the “favorite” list) what they truly deserve, only stress, insecurity, poor treatment, and a lack of development opportunities, as even training is minimal because the company wants to save costs.
Career prospects in the company are virtually nonexistent. Criteria for advancement are unclear, support for further training is minimal, and opportunities for personal or professional development are almost entirely absent. The company is too focused on cost savings instead of investing in its employees, leaving staff with zero real chances to grow or progress.
Salaries and monetary aspects are a major weak point in the company. Compensation is extremely below market standards, and salary increases are often ridiculous, sometimes not even keeping pace with annual inflation (especially for employees coming from the ProCredit group). Management is fully aware that this is one of the most sensitive and important topics for employees, yet they show little to no concern. Distribution of salaries is unfair, with favored employees receiving benefits while the majority are left behind, regardless of contribution or responsibility. Social benefits are minimal, and salaries are paid on time but offer no real reward for performance. Recently, the company has focused heavily on cost management, often reducing compensation due to decisions that rapidly increased costs over the past year. It makes no sense that employees should suffer financially because of certain upper levels decisions. Overall, this creates deep frustration, distrust, and demotivation among staff. The weakest point of this institution.
Colleagues rarely work well together because leadership sets a weak example. Managers fail to encourage honesty or direct communication, and their behavior often fosters mistrust and competition instead of collaboration. As a result, employees are hesitant to speak openly or support each other. Whether management realizes how bad the situation is or simply find it easier to look the other way, I suspect it’s the latter.
This category is another weak point for the company. You will never feel truly welcome here unless you are willing to conform completely. Long-time employees and older workers are sometimes given undue privileges, regardless of their contribution, while some remain in the company only because they are in difficult situations and cannot leave. Their experience is not genuinely respected or valued, but instead is used to enforce conformity and maintain favoritism.
Recently, several new leaders have been appointed, but their approach often seems disconnected from the company's stated values and core principles. Conflicts are badly and unprofessionally managed, and employees are rarely involved in decision-making. Goals are sometimes unrealistic, and decisions are not always clear or easily understood, creating confusion and frustration (maybe they don't know what they want themselves, who knows). Salary distribution remains a significant issue, with only certain favored employees receiving meaningful benefits while the majority are left behind, this inequality undermines motivation, trust, and team cohesion, and is worth emphasizing in every section. At times, the company feels more comparable to a bazaar than a structured banking institution. To improve, leadership especially at management level should prioritize transparent communication, equitable recognition, and structured employee participation in decisions. Such measures would strengthen morale and foster accountability. In this context, the company is a run-away as fast as possible!!!
Working conditions are also poor. Air conditioning fails during extreme temperatures, making the offices uncomfortable. Equipment is outdated, and basic factors like ventilation, lighting, and noise are neglected. The overall environment makes it difficult to work efficiently or comfortably.
Communication is deficient and disorganized. Important information necessary to do the work is often missing or delayed. Meetings are unstructured and provide little clarity. The problem overall comes from top to bottom, as management’s goodwill to resolve issues and improve the atmosphere is completely lacking. The company shows little concern for its long-term sustainability. Decisions are focused on short-term fixes rather than strategic growth or stability. Key processes, planning, and investments are inconsistent or poorly executed, creating uncertainty about the future. Trust and engagement suffer because staff are left in the dark. Decisions by management : salary review is indescribably unfair, with only certain favored employees receiving benefits while the majority are left far behind.
Equality in the company is severely lacking. Employees coming from certain markets (usually European) or certain nationalities are often treated differently, especially when it comes to promotions, leadership appointments, and salary distribution. Favoritism is rampant, and many qualified individuals are overlooked or undervalued simply because they are not part of a favored group. This creates a deeply unfair environment and damages trust, motivation, and team cohesion. Management doesn’t listen, or they simply do not care, shutting their eyes and ears whenever employees speak openly or provide feedback. No improvements are being made.
Workload distribution is terrible, and it is almost worthless to even comment. Favoritism dominates, with favored employees getting easier or more advantageous assignments while the majority carry disproportionate burdens. Employees have little to no influence over their own area of responsibility, and the system is unfair, demoralizing, and poorly managed. Sometimes it feels like those at the top of management as well as team leaders don’t know what they want or how projects and goals should be managed. Deadlines are set arbitrarily, priorities are unclear, and teams are left confused and frustrated. This lack of direction makes it difficult for employees to plan or perform effectively.
Nichts.
You can learn a lot in the job.
Salary, home office policy, work life balance.
Hear your employees. If many people complain about the same topics, you should make some effort to change instead of giving pre-written answers and make people swallow strange situations.
Some people that have many years in the company act like they are the only ones who know about the job. In the other hand, some younger colleagues behave like they were in high school, not in an office, and this is reflected in how they speak and how they treat someone that needs help our support to finalize one task.
Between the lines you are expected to work even on weekends. If you don't, maybe they can say you are underperforming.
They provide you a training budget that is not communicated. I brought a training idea to my manager and only then (after 1 year of work) I was told about this budget. Still, this was not communicated to my team in any team meetings. Feels like we are discouraged to invest in our knowledge. Regarding career, you can maybe switch teams relatively easily, but a hierarchical growth is almost impossible, unless, of course, you have the right connections.
This is the weakest point of the company, in my opinion. No regular salary reviews and no bonuses, although the employees are constantly claiming for some changes, they insist on talking about "long-term development, a healthy work-life balance, and creating a responsible, ethical work environment, rather than short-term incentives", like if a bonus would make someone less ethical or long-term commited to their work. The company has reached many important achievements in the past months and the only thing we got was an email from the management saying "a big thank you". In sum, even if the employees are unhappy, there are no changes.
They are apparently very enganged to this topic.
Close to zero.
Many people sitting in the same chair and doing the same things for +10 years.
Some team leaders are very commited and try to do their best to make the work better, but this is not the general situation.
Offices are ok, although quite old fashioned. Teams have different offices, isolating all of them on their own worlds and lowing significantly the opportunities to interact with other teams. Home office is not well seen and strictly controlled.
Very bad, specially with HR, that pays little or no attention at all to employees inquiries. They will smile at you in the corridors but ignore your emails or messages on Teams.
The company is very international and there are quite a lot of women. However, if you are not german, your chances to reach a management level position are considerably lower.
You can indeed learn a lot on the job.
Company is growing. Hence some of the profits should be shared with the employees as well in terms of bonus or salary increment. Salary is quite low as per industry standard.
Should have bonus or salary increment.
Pleasant and friendly working atmosphere.
Mostly recognised as a green and SME oriented bank with some homework to be done on reaching a market standard of a Frankfurt based international bank.
It depends from one department to another, but relatively achievable.
The bank has a an established Academy for developing employees, but the individual educational prospects are not actively promoted.
Fixed salary, with usual 12 monthly payments a year. No contractual bonuses or any other additional payments such as 13th salary, inflation adjustment or any other monetary perk.
Fairly strong in promoting ESG, establishing and leading this topic in the countries of operation.
Pleasant and team working oriented organisation.
Relatively older colleagues are properly respected.
Relatively open and pleasant communication. Of course, it depends from one department to another.
Facilities are properly equipped, with possibilities for further improvements.
Short communication channels and flat hierarchy.
Very international community, respecting each employee and promoting equality.
It depends from one department to another.
So verdient kununu Geld.
