Arbeitsatmosphäre

Everybody is full of little attentions of the others, there is a lot of flexibility. There is always someone you can talk to, and have a nice coffee with (or a piece of cake). This geeky, relaxed, fun and nice, it's just what I was looking for when looking for a job. It's like a working family.

Work-Life-Balance

I still need to find the right balance, but it's more a me problem than a company problem. There is a lot of flexibility offered, which means a lot of work style possibilities. I just have to find the one that suits me. :)

Karriere/Weiterbildung

You always have the possibility to register to courses, and you are encouraged to do so. Also as an intern you have the possibility to get permanent positions.

One of our values is "think of the others first." And I can feel it in my everyday's life at work.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

The team is just amazing. They are all very different people, from different backgrounds, experiences and nationalities. It's just amazing to work with such passionate people and to be able to learn about work not related stuffs when speaking with them (cultural exchanges, food exchanges...). Also, I appreciate that I can rely on them to up-level me, or support me when I'm facing a problem. I never feel left alone, and it's rare in internships.

I don't really feel like I have a manager, which is a good thing to me. My feeling is that I have more people I can rely on and ask questions to, and that's what matters to me.

High flexibility (on site/home office) same for vacation days... Super nice office. Good coffee. Car in the office. What else do you need?

Kommunikation

Communication inside of the company is very good overall. But everything is never perfect. the whole network organisation concept means that everyone is speaking out-loud, and sharing the information they have. It's working most of the time, but it's work on both sides, reaching the information and sharing it, it can be a bit confusing when one isn't used to it.

Everyone is treated the same inside of the company.

We all really get along at work. It’s als ways a fun time meeting up with your colleagues. Whilst we do work hard, we also know how to play hard and have a fun time.

At RH, we have a crew of entrepreneurs that love what they do and own the contributions they make to the company. Conversations about the company are honest and anything shared between colleagues can be shared amongst the team in an open way.

Work-Life-Balance

We don’t have your classic office times and standard online platforms where you request your holidays in advance. We self organize amongst ourselves. That means that you choose from where and when to work provided you can meet your commitments. This sounds super awesome (and it is) but it can be tough to do so as the pressure to perform is still high.

Karriere/Weiterbildung

I learnt more in my first month at RH than in the first 8 months of my previous job. With the ultimate autonomy and authority over your role comes pressure but learning and development as well. You can really excel in the things you are comfortable with and are given trust in these and can pick new topics that you want to develop and grow into and are given support in these.

We are on an average Berlin basis. So not your get rich quickly destination. At the same time, salaries are adjusted regularly based on performance and contributions and always paid on time

This is a topic taken seriously right by everyone. We just stopped ordering from Amazon due to some of their practices that don’t align with our ethics. Ideas from the crew about how we can improve in this regard are always welcomed and approached.

We all treat each other on an equal basis. There is no artificial hierarchy. In this context, we become natural leaders in our fields of expertise. Honesty is a core value and that’s something we all follow. Transparency is radical and knowledge is shared.

We are radical in our transparency but expect our crew to address their uncertainties and ask questions. Ultimately, questions are answered and we all do our best to work out loud and keep each other up to date with our contributions and any other relevant news.

Diversity and inclusion at RH means everyone has what they need (and feels the right way) to do their best at work. We are a diverse team with a range of backgrounds that don’t really matter. You can just be yourself at work and that’s cool.

Our products are awesome and literally from the future. You can work on cool and crazy stuff and there is nothing that doesn’t fall into the scope in terms of new ideas.

The crew is responsible and everybody own the culture. We have a saying everybody who unloads the dishwasher has a say in the company, so it’s very easy to be part of it.

When some one sees the office they are overwhelmed a lot of time and don’t hear what they are being told as well.
Being a network organization is extremely though and that’s why there are so few.
So yeah, it’s bump sometimes but it’s no hidden it’s made transparent.

Work-Life-Balance

Anything is possible it’s mainly up to how organized you are yourself and how well you communicate it.
Some colleagues use the freedom to go to doctors/physiotherapy during regular office hours, others do sports and others take care of their kids.
Some colleagues start working early in the morning some work late night, you might get a feeling it’s work around the clock but that’s the entire crew and not done by an individual.

There’s space for anything, you just need to speak up and be clear.
We have developed a methodology (fist to five) that allows you to address everything in a super easy way and you can put collaboration topics in red if you feel something isn’t going as it should.
There’s definitely more infrastructure in how to address things like in other companies.

People with different nationalities, different academic background combine their knowledge and perspective for the better.

it’s clear from your review that you are very angry and that we failed you. It is not always easy to find balance running a family and a company together, but we are doing our best. Clearly this wasn’t good enough for you. A family-run business, especially in a network setup, comes with incredible highs, but unfortunatelt also with lows. It’s more human. In all its glory and misery. Please accept my apologies for the mistakes we’ve made that upset you. They were not intentional. We’ll keep working on getting better - as we always do. Hopefully you find a work environment where you’ll feel more at home.

We have more awards than shelf-space. Business gurus like Gary Hamel call us game-changers. We partner with such amazing people as L.David Marquet, former commander of US Navy nuclear submarine USS Santa Fe - where he gave NO MORE ORDERS! You can watch our show 'Leaders in Cars getting Coffee' to see us riding in McLaren F1s with the president of Starbucks, a DeLorean with the CEO of T-Mobile, or in the VW Love Bug Herbie with the Managing Director of Acccenture, and hear it straight from their mouth why RH kicks a**.

Work-Life-Balance

We have a zero vacation policy and a complete trust worktime. So move over the 42 hours week or even 5 hour day. At RH you work as much as you feel you can give, you decide where and you set your own goals with your colleagues. You take as much vacation as you feel is needed to be rested and well. That's a lot of responsibility, and yet no one abuses it. This is a big kids playground here. Only come to play if you can handle that with great freedom comes great responsibility.

Up to you. That's the negative and the positive. You want to do a course at MIT or Stanford about AI? Go for it. You want to start a business inside the business? Go for it. You want to take a language course and work from another country for a month, a year, forever? Go for it. At RH there is no up or down the career ladder. There is only the network, making a contribution and fulfilling your potential.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

Yeah, in terms of pure salary we are on a normal Berlin level. Don't come here to get rich short-term. We are self-funded and teams are responsible to set their own salaries based on the loot that's there. We also have a peer-distributed bonus system called staRHs. Basically your peers can award you stars from a limited weekly currency along with positive feedback for contributions of yours they valued. The stars are transparently shared so it's checks and balances. At the end of a quarter your stars are converted into a bonus amount, depending on how successful we were as a Company. It's all transparent and fair. No managers whose a** you have to kiss. Just do a great job. It honestly works. We have bonuses for having babies and consider our Culture part of the total compensation. How much would you pay to work in a place where YOU set the rules and love to come to work (or not)...

We offset all our CO2 for travel and we make technology that enables people to make a contribution without having to meet in person all the time... We actively contribute to the communities we operate in and we encourage people to combine family, freetime and work in ways that they feel makes them most productive. No limits.

We work in a peer-committed environment. That means no one can order you to do something, you need to convince people to work with you on your contributions. This is tough, but makes for strong bonds and intrinsic motiavation between colleagues.

We don't care about age. We care about contributions. Our Crew spans from twenty somethings to 60 somethings... no one cares. It's the mix that makes it spicy.

Our RHQ is in the beautiful old industrial space of the Goerzwerk in the south of Berlin. We have a private campus with a forrest, rooftop garden, cafeteria and a diverse mix of companies around us. You choose between working from home, the beach, a run, the rooftop, a small office for yourself or an open space with a DeLorean parked in the middle. There is a crossfit on campus if you want to get fit (and throw up). You set your own times. Basically...this is the life. Oh, also no bosses. Just colleagues and sponsors (google W.L. Gore for clarification of these terms). We also have free coffee, tea, drinks, fruit, etc. No foosball table. No bs. Just a beautiful place and tons of freedom with a high pressure to make a Contribution.

Could always be better, but there is an open door policy and mindset, plus all financial information about the enterprise are transparent to all Colleagues. Everybody can connect their contribution to the purpose of the enterprise
