Overall, it has been very nice time at SAP. I have worked for 14 years, also in betriebsrat.

SAP is an excellent organization. Top management have lot of programs in place to have a motivated work force. It is an international company, open culture, diversity, inclusion, sustainability, responsible approach. continuously growing,

Hiring process is weak, lot of unproductive people sit inside the company and drain like termites :-)
Smart people should be inside a great company like SAP.
Verbesserungsvorschläge
Please promote or hire people as managers who are capable of encouraging people, mentor them, synergize them, protect them. People are key assets, a skilled employee should be taken care of independent of how manager feels about it.
It is in benefit of the organization to take care of skilled people.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
the employee facilities are excellent, like lunch, gym, company car, working hours flexibility. But most manager are not peoples people, like a leader, a coach, a mentor. Rather an administrator, door keeper, inefficient.
Kommunikation
Communication is usually very good and often transparent.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
It varies from team to team. Of course rare departments with great managers are always doing well.
Work-Life-Balance
SAP supports work-life balance to large extent. One doesnt feel like in a conventional German organization.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Tricky, a big organization like SAP makes sure everything is clean to outside world. There are definitely internal glitches, gaps, issues which would be not acceptable otherwise. Like many women working under fear of so called "managers".
Interessante Aufgaben
This is again a mixed topic. SAP as an organization tries to offer different programs to make employees work life interesting like intra-preneurship program, semester abroad, social projects, sabatical, innovation in few departments, internal fellowships. Still very few employees are able to experience this, I would say less than 5%.
Gleichberechtigung
This is again a weakness. From outside it may look good. But the reality is different. AT sap they call it watermelon traffic lights as standard check lists. Which are green from outside but inside all red :-)
Arbeitsbedingungen
SAP as organization offers lot of flexibility, support but the majority of unskilled managers filter these to unfavorable environment.
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
SAP takes lot of efforts, and also invest heavily in this topic.
Gehalt/Benefits
SAP is a good paymaster. If not the best I believe better than many companies. If one see the total package, including monetary, incentives, lunches, company car, vacations, bonus, employee trainings, family functions, team outing, conferences, travel. SAP spends a good amount of money in addition to salary.

No question, or concern. SAP is very well reputed not only in Germany but globally.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
bit poor. Only very few with good managers or "yes boss" will be able to make it to advanced trainings and skill based growth.
