Maybe if you are desperate?
Gut am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Home office, IT, interesting clients and projects.
Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich
Many things are rolled out only half ready…which is fine, if you fix and improve stuff later on. But this does not happen, employees are abandoned with unfinished tools and processes. But those cases are communicated as big success and 100% done. While the next project is launched. There is no review if everything is in place as expected and anticipated.
No lessons learned or quality management in place.
Growth and change is necessary, but it seems that many things are just done with PE exit in mind, rather than actually a long term strategy which is achievable and realistic.
I do hope HR limits the severance agreements for managers, if not this is a significant cost position we all have to compensate as it happens every 4-6 months.
Verbesserungsvorschläge
You should listen to your employees their concerns and needs. Maybe also man up against PE shareholders and their greed. At least try to preserve some spirit and identification for the firm. PE investors want a fast and profitable exit, but the employee needs a stable future. Don‘t gamble with the future of so many people for your own benefit or benefit of shareholders.
Arbeitsatmosphäre
Abysmal. All top performers are frustrated and overworked. While Leadership is using management buzz-words and don‘t know, don’t care or are simple not capaple to understand issues, problems or even how our business works. Instead of supporting the front line with tools and manpower, there is a hiring and firing of leadership positions. There’s an issue, something not working? Hire a new manager and blame him if it is not solved. Many of us stopped remembering the names of senior leadership as they come and go like the four seasons.
Image
External probably fine. Internally…oh boy…scoffing at decisions, communication etc. is omnipresent.
Work-Life-Balance
After lay offs and restructuring, without established processes and tools, expectation to do more and more is rising every year. People silently quit and just don‘t care anymore. Still, many work really hard to make it work.
One should be self aware that without explicit rejection, the firm will take everything from you. There is no protection from the firm or any attemps to ease the situation for many colleagues. Just pressure.
Karriere/Weiterbildung
There is none? Ok, you can join LinkedIn learning sessions for free.
Gehalt/Benefits
Intransparent. Targets set top down are ridicolous, therefore not achievable, hence the firm can reduce the bonuses. Merit increases happen at a miniscule scale, following years of pay freezes. All hail the shareholders!
Pension scheme is good!
Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein
Non-topic.
Kollegenzusammenhalt
Deteriorating. This was outstanding a couple years back. Now everybody is helpless and tries to preserve his or her health and sanity. Which leads to passivity, apathy and inactivity.
Umgang mit älteren Kollegen
Saving potential for the firm: either get somebody cheaper or do not replace at all.
Vorgesetztenverhalten
Directs ok. The problem begins with the area heads. Most of the former ones are gone, replaced by pushy managers who desperately try to oblige and please what the C Level comes up with.
The C-suite itself is overstaffed (9…wait, one just left so it is 8!). Personally I believe that only half are actually providing a benefit for the firm (CEO, COO, CRO and CTO). Also having the impression that even less actually know what exactly we are doing and delivering.
Management lost trust, support and loyalty from the average employee long time ago.
Arbeitsbedingungen
New office is ok, IT works, Canteen provides good meals. Commuting to the office is rather lengthy and cumbersome, as it is at least 15 min away from S-Bahn, U-Bahn.
Kommunikation
Detached from reality. Internal communications tries to uphold a good internal image with success stories and glossy presentions. For the average employee this is like mockery, as the reality is very different.
Gleichberechtigung
It is finance, I am unaware of any discrimimation, on the flipside, there is also nothing the firm actually does to actively support women (esp. after maternity leave).
Interessante Aufgaben
There is a lot of complex work and projects. If you expect to make a change, maybe you can, most likely not. Please do not expect any appreciation for your work though, this is reserved for sales and of course the leadership.
