Bezahlung war gut.

Zu jung, unserioes, unerfahren, nicht transparent mit Kunden und Mitarbeitern, lauter moechte gerne Chefs, die eigentlich falsch in Ihrer Position sind.

Es ist ein Fehler, die Haelfte der Mitarbeiter immer wieder zu kuendigen, um dann die selben Arbeitsplaetze mit unerfahrenen Mitarbeitern zu ersetzen. Immer die guten Mitarbeiter behalten.

Erst einmal war es sehr schoen, bis ueber die Haelfte der Mitarbeiter ueber Nacht gekuendigt wurde. Ab dann ging es konstant bergab.

I've worked in several departments since I first joined Watchmaster end of 2015. As a working student this is the best experience you can have, as you learn several different things. I like the spirit of the company. Surely it is different to work in a start up compared to a long existing company but I think you learn more and grow a lot quicker with your tasks and in gaining confident.

If you like: office view, nice location, working elevator, free coffee pads, free water, free fruit, dogs. Then it is the right start-up.

However, if you don't like: bunch of Arrogant, Cheap, Unprofessional, Rude, "Friendly" Managers, or HR, or Colleagues then better don't ever bother applying to this company.

No professional or free atmosphere. Why? Because managers have no idea how the management should look like. Some of them got the job just to grap the cash and run! No real evaluation of real professional employees. It is like you are going to the cozy and expensive luxury club where your clothes and origin would be first evaluated, not your qualifications!!!! Of course, your employee has to represent the image of the company. But folks, treat your employees better and make them feel comfortable. Happy employees, happy customers!!!! Otherwise they won't give a single effort even to care about your customers or image. Maybe, only "highly paid" ones. Big success for the business idea. Huge failure for realization.
Very important: onboarding and introduction. clear management and objective. Professional HR needed. regular feedback from employees and managers. These recommendations are for you, Watchmaster! and it is for free!

1. Pays good salary (to SOME people), they actually paid me more than I requested (how weird!), 2. excellent location in the center of Berlin, 3. lots of young sympathic people (that share the same problems and frustration), 4. beautiful office

IN GENERAL:
Unfortunately I can confirm all the negative comments about the company. The company has several CEOs (!) which leads to chaos, a tense and unsympathic atmosphere, extreme working hours, effectively no management, no project management (no skilled people), no onboarding (you start there and nobody knows anything), no HR (there's actually no HR, just interns trying to do the job).
IN IT DEPARTMENT:
Sorry to say, but working at Watchmaster was the most frustrating experience I had within 15+ years in the industry. No knowledge, no experience, no social competence, no onboarding, no training, no leading, IT is nearly 90% non-german underpayed junior developers who have their first job, the result is a code-monkey like workstyle, bad quality, frustrating useless and impossible tasks and very slow and ineffective development. All the good people have quit or got fired (who fires hard-to-find developers ?), basically all the people who created this company have left. Most of the time I had nothing to do or got tasks that had nothing to do with the skillset i was hired for. Trying to make things better will be blocked, development standards are totally ignored. Good developers leave, the bad stay.

Replace several leading positions with good, experienced and social people, listen to feedback of employees, stick to overall accepted business standards, introduce moral standards. Hire good and experienced developers and put them into leading positions. The wrong people are in the wrong positions there.
