Honesty not only on paper, but also in practice.
Stand by your cuts instead of glossing over everything.
Involve the employees more, they sometimes know much more about the actual work than you do.

Arbeitsatmosphäre

The atmosphere used to be very good, the mood was good, there were lots of parties and events with a sufficient budget. For the past 1.5 years, everyone has been making savings, which has had a massive impact on the atmosphere. Many teams are afraid of redundancies, others are profiling on the backs of others...

Kommunikation

Poor to bad. The c-level communicates inadequately, tries to generate a spirit of optimism, but this does not come across honestly due to the massive cost-cutting measures. Cost-cutting measures for benefits - of which there were several - are not communicated honestly. The open, anonymous questions that could be asked at the allhands and were all answered have been abolished. Only selected questions that are authorised are now answered.

Many teamleads are thrown in at the deep end and left alone. Many lack experience and try to climb the career ladder quickly. The c-level likes to duck out of making clear recommendations and guidelines. Sometimes blatant misbehaviour is tolerated.

Gleichberechtigung

Equal treatment is a top priority, at least when it comes to written or spoken words. When it comes to practical implementation, some people are allowed to get away with much more than others. It all comes down to personal connections.

Basically there are few old colleagues, but age is less of a problem with unequal treatment.

Arbeitsbedingungen

Basically good working conditions. The most important things are available. But when it comes to the specialised areas, it quickly leaves a lot to be desired. Here it depends heavily on the respective budget planning and, above all, whether the planners really have an idea of the requirements.

Umwelt-/Sozialbewusstsein

The awareness does not appear honest and exposed. People try to follow trends, but only seem to do so half-heartedly. It has to fit into the budget and other things are more important.

Gehalt/Sozialleistungen

Salaries are below average to average. However, social benefits are being cut more and more. There is hardly anything left over, even if the company regularly acts as if it is doing a lot. There used to be a lot of events, now there are hardly any, and the budget is sometimes so small that, for example, the food is gone after 30 minutes. Events become a means of self-promotion and self-celebration, but the employee and their fun are no longer the top priority.
You won't find things like inflation compensation premiums here, there's no money for that.

The image is still good externally, but is deteriorating internally. Attempts are being made to counteract the negative image with questionable means

Karriere/Weiterbildung

For a few, there are great opportunities to make a career, while others are treated as if everyone had the chance. However, this is difficult because the company does not focus on internal training and active professional development. Instead, there are many sessions, but they don't offer any serious added value. External partners are not used for this, although they could offer a lot of knowledge that the upper levels prefer to keep to themselves.
