Some cool people that are great to work with.
Generally, the company culture is declining and has been severely hit this year. Maybe it'll manage to improve over the next few months, but if not, I'll need to explore my options.
Try more to live by your values and show more solidarity towards your employees - all of them. Or adjust your expectations.
Was great when I first started, but has seriously declined this year. I don't trust management anymore after everything that has happened.
Not so brilliant anymore, as far as I can tell.
Great place for workaholics who have no other time-consuming interests or commitments outside of work (family, friends, hobbies, children...). There are some internal measures to try promote work-life balance, but these are routinely ridiculed by people working late nights and weekends and even bragging about it. Some of these people have leadership roles (EMs and such) and should know better about what kind of example and expectations they are setting.
Some offers for learning and development and a dedicated team behind it. Root problem, though, is that there is never enough time and pumping out features takes priority.
It's ok, but expectations are high for the next round of salary adjustments.
Some good awareness, but doesn't solve the root problem about all the (air) travel that this business is causing. Cannot be compensated for by hosts taking measures to make their house a bit more eco-friendly.
Still good in some teams, but people have become a lot more cautious about what they will say to whom. Not as easy-going as is used to be.
Hardly any, maybe because their contributions aren't valued as much as us youngsters with the latest hottest frameworks. Also, sometimes it seems the special situations of older colleagues are not taken into account enough (e.g. when they have a family to support).
Some people are quite good and empathetic, but others don't really behave in line with the values. Also, for technical leadership, after a certain level people should focus on strategy and not be hands-on coding anymore (and when they do, they should lead by creating high-quality architectures and code, IMHO). Also, why fire so many and only a few weeks later start hiring again? Doesn't make sense.
Offices are good and please atmosphere. Lots of goodies, nice coffee. In terms of compensation, market adequate, but inflation needs to be compensated for urgently.
Not clear what information can be trusted anymore. Massive funding round only one year ago, massive lay-offs only a few months afterwards. External communication, e.g. on LinkedIn, also needs to be more sensitive towards all the colleagues that had to go. Look at the recent posts and think about how those that got fired might feel when seeing this.
It's ok, but the higher one gets in the hierarchy, the more male it becomes.
Technically interesting and challenging, especially when it comes to cloud infrastructure topics. However, actual software engineering skills are lacking a bit.
- easy work environment
- good work - life balance
What is advertised in the interviews does not correspond to the facts.
No salary increases during the year, only with promotions. Criterias for promotions are very intransparent.
Stop fighting people for their bonuses.
Change something about the management of the company. It feels like there is not the slightest thought of the consequences. You expect more and more without giving anything back.
Its fine, they try to make everything a party, which is hard to assume in the current mood. Still, it's a nice try. People are overall very friendly and happy to help. Hybrid working is possible and very much appreciated.
Ok image but uncertain future, a great deal of trust in the company has been lost through the redundancies.
It's ok.
Hardly any further training opportunities, promotions only happen once a year and are based on performance reviews. The motto there seems to be "as long as it says something", these are in no way meaningful about the actual state of affairs. The people in charge don't spend much time on them.
Bonus structures are a joke, benefits are almost non-existent, especially now after the lay-offs.
Claims to be sustainable but is not really.
One or the other sits in positions that definitely do not correspond to the expected competences. Some managers are completely out of their depth.
Flexible working is possible. Work-Life Balance is ok.
A lot of information, little action. Criticism is not taken kindly.
There is constant restructuring, so that one is more occupied with troubleshooting due to these restructurings instead of with the actual work.
Still many cool people that would be fun to work with (in a different place maybe)
The entire lay-off situation was handled in a terrible manner. How come there is money for new logo and summer party etc. but not for highly qualified people who know the product and company (despite the massive funding last year)? We need people like this in the current situation.
Try to rebuild trust with your employees, otherwise many might leave soon, especially the good ones. Be much more transparent and trustworthy.
Best way to get ahead and avoid getting fired is to become friends with the long-timers, it seems. Quite some nepotism on the higher ranks. This needs to change.
After firing nearly 10% of the workforce in June, the atmosphere sucks. The summer party was super awkward. People pretending to have fun, while wondering who will get kicked out next.
severely damaged by lay-offs
Getting worse, lots of pressure to pull out the company
no clear career paths, very little time to learn and develop, criteria for promotions very intransparent
below market
Flying in all these people to Munich for a two-day summer party??
still good, but sometimes awkward interactions with superiors
Sometimes very little respect for seniority, even though a higher level of maturity would be badly needed.
I don't trust management anymore. One moment there is lots of cash and party planning and no worries until at least 2024. Next all these people get laid off. Why should they pay for management mistakes?
Management failed to explain sufficiently why we are getting rid of of so many trusted colleagues. Totally unclear, badly communicated.
Top management is nearly all white male. Haven't seen any people with physical disabilities, yet.
Hardware equipment was nice
too many children in high positions with little idea. too many do-nothings against a few doers
hire real leaders with experience. life is not just a party. you are no longer a start-up
some work a lot, others work almost nothing. but they insist on *we are a team*
better then deserved
if you belong to the group of the inconspicuously lazy - wonderful, otherwise you are actually always at the limit
if you get on well with your superiors, things will go well
you get the title, not the money
flying in colleagues from all over Europe for a middle class vegetarien summer party. planting trees but completely skipping the household waste etc
depends on the department and the country you work in
older colleagues? probably 5 are older then 40
children playing manager. but at least the Chief Operating Officer left the company
partyyyyyy and then no more party. 10% employees fired
was better in the past, too fast growth. even the parties are getting worse every time
lots of woman working there
if you get on well with your superiors, things will go well
Colleagues are cool and stick to each toehr, despite management
Empty promises, not much transparency. We don't know what is really going on.
Avoid such massive Lay-offs! Not the Holidu I know. Why not find better ways? Need to try very hard to build trust again. Not sure how.
Quite bad now after nearly 10% get fired. People are looking for other options and don't know, if management can still be trusted. How can I enjoy the summer party with many colleagues gone???
no so well known
Much pressure to make revenue, was better before
below market
market adequate
some good awareness, like green travel policy. but still many people fly and events like summer party are disaster for co2 footprint. also, product itself causing many travels by air.
still good, but there is fear
Some team leads are good, but top management made many mistake
Communication of the lay-offs was terrible. I'm still shocked that this company behave like so, like any other corproate
generally good, but in higher positions not very diverse
400 employees came for a party to Munich by plane.
Wer schleimt kommt weiter
Kommunikation was?
In Sachen Arbeitspensum ja, in Sachen gleiches Gehalt nein
Ansichtssache
So verdient kununu Geld.
