Keep the future of e-mobility running.
Take end-to-end ownership of cloud-native platforms and help deliver reliable e-mobility services at scale.

You can look forward to a role that will challenge and inspire you:

  • You ensure reliable operation and continuous improvement of our digital e-mobility products, as part of a cross-functional team, by shaping and advancing operational excellence across IT systems and applications
  • You develop, provision, and operate AWS cloud application environments using Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform, for container-based and serverless applications built with TypeScript and Node.js
  • You develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and technical automation processes using GitHub Actions and modern CI/CD practices
  • You monitor cloud accounts, infrastructure, application environments, and services using observability and monitoring tools such as AWS CloudWatch and/or Grafana
  • You take ownership of operations by participating in on-call rotations, responding to incidents, conducting root cause analyses, and troubleshooting complex operational issues (2nd/3rd-level support) to ensure reliable service level and adherence to SLAs and SLOs
  • You perform release deployments, rollout activities, and migration processes to ensure reliable and auditable delivery of IT systems and applications
  • You define and implement security- and reliability-related measures in line with IT security and operational policies, guidelines, and broader regulatory requirements
  • You work as part of the team and collaborate closely on cloud infrastructure, software architecture, IT security, technical operations, and technical support tasks
  • You share knowledge by delivering technical demos, maintaining documentation, conducting pair programming, and knowledge transfer sessions with your teammates

Your expertise makes the difference:

  • DevOps competence: At least 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or Site Reliability Engineer
  • Operations ownership: Experience with and willingness to work in on-call rotation, incident management, and providing 3rd-level technical support in production environments
  • Cloud expertise with AWS: Experience with building and/or operating highly available cloud-native applications and IT systems in AWS cloud, using services such as ECS, Fargate, EC2, RDS, OpenSearch, VPC, S3, Systems Manager, and CloudWatch
  • Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC): Advanced knowledge of Terraform and 2+ years of experience using it with AWS cloud
  • Automation mindset: Advanced experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines with integrated automated testing strategies (unit, integration, and end-to-end tests) to ensure software quality and reliable deployments. Experience with GitHub Actions is a plus.
  • Observability know-how: Advanced hands-on experience with observability and monitoring for cloud-native applications and IT systems, using AWS CloudWatch, Grafana, or similar tools
  • Programming languages: Knowledge of scripting and programming languages such as Bash and TypeScript/JavaScript.
  • Network and security: Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols such as TCP/IP, DHCP, SSH, HTTP, TLS/SSL, WebSocket, DNS, and familiarity with security concepts including IAM, RBAC, Least Privilege, and Zero Trust
  • Team-player attitude: Experience working in agile software development environments and cross-functional teams
  • Language proficiency: Fluent written and spoken English is required. German proficiency at B1 level or above is considered
  • You think and act with the customers' perspective in mind, and want to enhance their experience with us

Here’s what awaits you:

  • We aren’t looking for perfect matches, but rather people with potential, curiosity, and a desire to learn
  • We foster your personal development through workshops, professional training, and open feedback
  • Collaboration and team culture aren't just buzzwords; both are actively encouraged and cultivated here
  • We offer flexibility to work from home, combined with genuine in-office interactions to help team spirit thrive
  • We live and breathe e-mobility: You have the opportunity to lease an electric company car on attractive terms
  • Enjoy delicious, healthy, and varied meals in our canteen at subsidized rates.
  • Look forward to additional benefits such as EGYM Wellpass, e-bike leasing, a company pension scheme, corporate discount programs, and the option to work remotely in Germany
  • At EWE, diversity means an environment free from prejudice where we recognize and value individual differences as a strength. We bring this diversity to life every day alongside colleagues from 14 different countries
  • For us, climate protection isn't a trend but a responsibility - be a part of our goal: Climate neutral by 2035!
