Colleagues from the department are nice and friendly. If you struggle with some tasks and don't know something - they are always there for you to help. This allows an intern to learn and become a part of the company quicker.
Also, I found no problems communicating with other departments.
The employees are from all over the world, that's why intercultural and gender equality is the key of QIAGEN.
It seems to be hard to make a career in the company and move higher from one position to another. The horizontal movement - between departments - is simple, but if you want from an assistant's position to become someone else - it might take really long. The company has quite a strict structure.
As an intern, I felt that others trust me in what I am doing by giving responsible, long-term tasks. However, despite the importance of your work's result, most of the time I was more like an assistant for others.
In my opinion, the company could use way more benefits of young, 'fresh' colleagues, who come from the outside, by giving them more freedom on implementing their own ideas. So that in the end an intern or a new employee would be not only the 'additional hands' but a real teammate. This would also give more motivation for the intern to stay in the company to make a career.
Wenn möglich, nicht am falschen Ende sparen und mehr Wert auf Zufriedenheit bereits dort tätiger, fähiger Arbeitskräfte legen.
Auch hier kann es mal stressig werden, aber insgesamt herrscht eine sehr angenehme und entspannte Arbeitsatmosphäre mit viel Freiraum und einem guten Teamzusammenhalt.
Definitiv ein Unternehmen, hinter dessen Produkten man aus voller Überzeugung stehen kann.
Es wird viel Rücksicht auf eigene Wünsche genommen und es müssen selten Überstunden gemacht werden. Sollte es doch mal dazu kommen, darf man an einem anderen Tag ohne Probleme mal früher gehen.
Super freundlich und offen - hier wird einem viel Platz für eigene Ideen gegeben und jederzeit unterstützt.
Direkte Ansprechpartne immer vor Ort oder gut zu erreichen. Es gibt immer ein offenes Ohr für Fragen oder Probleme.
Mindestlohn
Wer möchte, kann hier viel Verantwortung übernehmen. Einziger Minuspunkt ist, dass es Zeiten ohne größere, spannende Projekte gibt - aber das kann sich jederzeit ändern und ist in anderen Unternehmen ähnlich.
