The meals are almost paid when you go to the office, fruit basket and coffee are a nice detail.
Positions move among the same circle.
Beware of HR cause they will try a few tricks, specially if you are pregnant check your rights. Get a Rechtsschutzversicherung cause one day you hear from a colleague's situation and months later you are in that same boat.
People with a lot of power and maybe not enough preparation.
Whenever there is something wrong it will remain so
It's all about the image, a lot of talk but no action
Remote work possible
They have programs and mandatory workshops, all the leadership programs are reserved for friends
Because I couldn't give less stars
the colleagues are great and that's what stokke advertises and they are definitely right. I have worked with many people at eye level but the further the hierarchy goes the harder it gets to get clear and also honest feedback.
the external image is of course very good and stokke is a very, very great company, especially for newcomers, with great colleagues and a good place to gain experience. problems in the company will not improve or change in the long term, the employees only change until new ones come and new ones ...
at stokke, everyone works until they're blue in the face. overtime on weekdays and weekends is the norm here. for example, I've constantly received emails outside of core working hours. this builds pressure to keep up. in the end, of course, everyone is responsible for their own work-life balance, but when everyone participates, you feel compelled to do the same. even when projects have to be implemented, there are no realistic deadlines. At the higher level, it doesn't matter how it happens, but it has to happen.
very very difficult in this company, for some more and for some less. The reasons for this have already been explained in the comments above.
of course, everyone always wants more but stokke only pays average or less. bonus participation is promised but with targets that are hardly achievable. this is of course a good tactic. After that, record numbers are presented on large platforms, but unfortunately little of this goes down to the employees... at least not with all of them...
here is little made by stokke. advertised is much but from sustainability you see and hear hardly anything. Could be that I´m wrong here and the company lacks to share but then this would be a suggestion to do it more.
no distinction is made on this subject.
many managers and supervisors in this company are a mystery to me. stokke advertises small hierarchy levels, regular employee reviews as well as development programs. hardly any of this is actually implemented well. regular reviews are hardly about the individual but only about everyday issues and how to resolve them. leaders don't know how to lead and annual reviews are done because that is the prerequisite to complete them.
stokke offers a good split of home office and office presence. This makes it easier to reconcile work and private life. Office equipment is rather outdated in the office with the desks and chairs with a very questionable desk sharing model that had to be implemented because the employees in the company have increased. here they probably wanted to save costs and somehow get the people into the office.
communication is very good in the same departments. anything that goes beyond the department is just tedious and difficult. departments don't work with each other but more against each other and little consideration is given. everyone works for themselves and departments don't coordinate with company goals.
as some have already mentioned, equality is the last thing stokke values. even if the reactions to reviews in kununu always claim the opposite. I have also experienced how best friends are promoted, new positions are passed on under the table to people who have no experience in their career. HR promotions are the order of each year and everything that is in their inner circle. but the problem here is at the root of the LT team, which doesn't care at all.
my work has always been a lot of fun and I had full freedom to implement my ideas and I was trusted in what I was doing. I really appreciated this!
Naturally will depend on the department. But in general I experience a great, open, international working atmosphere.
Incredibly good image. The products are loved, and that is our achievement - even after all this time still a good reason to proudly go to work every single day!
Okay, but possibilities such as flextime, more home office and generally more flexibility would be welcome. Especially after Covid the company should tackle such challenges and stick to the benchmark!
On the other hand: I have rarely experienced a company where you see so few people in the office after 4/5 pm. Many have kids, and a good work-life balance seems possible in this case.
Industry standard, but not region standard. Could be more! Also very performance dependent.
Sustainability is becoming more and more important in the company.
Sorry Stokke, but: POOR. Many long-time colleagues have been fired recently and fluctuation is generally high. There are very few "older" employees. Here you must do better!
Also in this case - completely dependent on the team. Some people shine here, others should still work hard on themselves. Annoyance and personal stress should never projected on the own employees - sadly experienced this a few times while being at Stokke. Cultural differences also sometimes create conflict potential.
Fair and transparent communication is a top priority. Very regular townhall and round table calls allow every employee to contribute his or her opinion and to learn about the status of current projects. Transparency is really being felt here.
Incredibly interesting tasks. Fast-moving times in the company, fantastic products, the brand is loved like never before. We can be proud to work here and to contribute to the creation of great things. Although Stokke has been around for so long, we seem to be just at the beginning!
I am not originally from Germany and integration can be difficult sometimes when you are not a native speaker. However, Stokke has over 30 different nationalities which has made a significant change in my life since I live in Stuttgart. It feels great working with people who are experiencing your exact same situation, everybody knows what you are going through. I can only speak for our Sindelfingen office, but it feels like a real family.
Despite not working with our products on a daily basis, I am very proud of them and what they represent.
At least in my department, we are quite flexible. We track our working hours daily and have home office once per week (on normal circumstances).
We have several performance/development dialogues and 1:1 talks with our manager. In my personal case, I can be completely transparent and honest with my team and manager, which helps me achieving my goals and developing my career.
New processes and improvements are always rolled out but maybe, we should have a stronger focus on our current Talent Management and Succession Plan.
Overall, I am happy. As I mention earlier, taking into consideration that Stokke is not a big company, we have pretty impressive benefits. Lunch, coffee, tea, fresh fruit twice a week are paid by the company, as well as parking spots.
We also have a bonus plan once a year, based on company and personal performance.
One of the key elements on this year’s Agenda is sustainability, something that is well appreciated.
At the office, we try to recycle as much as possible, but there is still room for improvement.
We have a Party Committee that involves everybody in several social events throughout the year, such as Summer and Christmas Parties, Family Day, Halloween, Stokke Choir, etc. We are also involved in different Global Competitions and Virtual Coffee Breaks to keep alive the spirit and people connected, especially during Covid times.
My manager and my team make me feel empowered. They trust me despite having a more junior role and they guide me whenever is needed. There is full transparency and honesty between each other, which helps me a lot on my daily tasks.
I am happy so far. The only thing I could mention is that the heating system in the office needs to be fixed quite often.
In the past year there has been a clear focus on transparency and open communication. Feedback and new ideas are always welcome. We have Round Tables every month, as well as different announcements in our Intranet, Newsletters and Townhalls.
However, cross-departmental communication could still be improved.
We have two women in our Leadership Team for the first time since I am part of Stokke. Exciting times.
We are not a large company; therefore, workload can be high sometimes. Nevertheless, there is always something new to learn or new challenges to deal with. In my opinion, this makes the role even more interesting.
I enjoy working here with my colleagues from all around the globe.
Everyone is approachable if you need information cross-departmental to make projects work.
I can only speak for my department/position, but my hours are tracked and my manager tries to make sure, that this is not exceeded! Of course there are deadlines for projects and this means you sometimes need to work longer but you have the possibility to then work less on other days.
We have an Stokke Academy, but there needs to be a stronger focus on the whole organization but efforts are made there with Training rollouts for the whole company.
Besides there are performance / development reviews twice a year which provide a good base to talk about how satisfied you are with your current position and if you potentially want to develop in different directions
I can only talk for my position but my negotiation was alright and you need to take in consideration that lunch is provided as an additional benefit.
Trash system has recently been established but further support in public transport can be established.
Colleagues go on events after work together and for lunch they join at the big tables on the two floorss
Open communication, free space to bring in own ideas but also guidance on development
I am happy with my work set up. The office is modern but often repairs need to be done
So far so good. Our Intranet is used to share a lot of best practices and questions addressed.
However there is room for improvement to align on processes across the different departments.
Nothing particular to add here. However, we have no women in the Leadership team but rather on Director level.
Due to our size within one role lie a lot of different tasks, which makes every day different
Great international atmosphere and people, with a lot of social activities and events.
Due to the size of the company, career options are somewhat limited
The salary could be higher
Thanks to the many events that are held through the year, we are all very close. Since you of course cannot love and be loved by everyone: only 4 stars.
The company direction isn't always the clearest.
Even though it has improved lately, communication still needs to become smoother than it currently is.
Most of the negative reviews I have seen here most likely are from the Customer Service. I think it doesn't reflect all the departments there are, or the company as a whole.
It surely makes me think that not all departments feel they are treated the same as I am.
So verdient kununu Geld.
