What I appreciate most is the positive and supportive work environment. The people are approachable, collaboration is encouraged, and there are plenty of opportunities to learn and grow. The company values its employees, provides interesting challenges, and promotes a healthy work-life balance, making it a rewarding place to work.
It's a place where you feel supported, valued, and comfortable sharing ideas.
Most employees are proud to work here and often speak positively about the people, work environment, and opportunities for growth.
There’s a good balance between work and personal life, with flexibility when needed and respect for employees’ time outside of work.
Employees are encouraged to take on new challenges and expand their knowledge over time.
The salary and benefits are competitive, and the company does a good job of recognizing and rewarding employees for their contributions.
The company genuinely cares about people and the wider community, creating a respectful workplace and supporting responsible, sustainable practices.
People work well together, support each other, and are always willing to share their knowledge and help when needed.
It's great to work with experienced colleagues who are always willing to share their knowledge and support others. There's a lot to learn from them, and they make collaboration easy and enjoyable.
Seniors are easy to approach, supportive, and always willing to help. They encourage learning and treat everyone with respect.
The working environment is comfortable and well-organized, making it easy to stay focused and get work done. The company provides the tools and support needed to do your job effectively.
Communication is open and straightforward, and both colleagues and managers are easy to talk to and happy to help when needed.
Everyone is treated with respect and given a fair chance to contribute, regardless of their role or background.
The work is varied and engaging, with plenty of opportunities to learn new things, take on challenges, and explore different areas over time.
Although the salary is higher than the Berlin average and significantly higher than the German average, it is lower than in the US or Swiss markets.
The company hosts two corporate events per year. Dogs are welcome in the office. Later start times and alternate work days can be negotiated. Management is knowledgeable and leads the company toward achieving its goals while adhering to its values. Engineers have very strong technical skills; they have a deep understanding of how the chosen technology works. Snacks are available in the office, although they often run out at the end of the day.
Lately, a lot of new people have appeared who seem useless. The marketing department is bloated. I'd like to see fewer desks in the offices, as it can be noisy. There are no bonuses. There's no adjustment to inflation. A proper meal is rarely served in the office, only on holidays.
There's a lack of a break room or some other place to just relax, not at your desk or in the kitchen. The company could also add a gym to the office for physical activity.
The company reimburses 1000 euros for training, courses, books related to the current role
think-cell is truly one of the best environments I’ve worked in. The culture is incredibly friendly, the managers are supportive and genuinely care about your development, and the team atmosphere is motivating every day. The flexible working hours and competitive salary make it even better, but what I value most is that think-cell is a place where you don’t just work — you grow continuously, both technically and personally.
Nothing negative to mention.
However, I know some candidates—especially for developer roles—feel frustrated after a rejection because the hiring process is very tough and multi-step. But after actually joining the company, you clearly understand why. The technical quality and level of expertise at think-cell are extremely high, and the rigorous hiring process simply reflects that standard. In hindsight, it becomes clear and reasonable why the bar is set so high.
Working hours are flexibel and one can be very self-organised.
There are limited opportunities to step up career wise, but they are eager to provide with new tasks or do trainings. One has to initiate it oneself though.
Incredibly smart and competent people. Very precise and efficient. Everyone helps each other and is always available to answer questions.
Very professional. Opinions are heard and taken into consideration. Respectful behavior towards everyone.
The flow of information between departments is lacking, but everyone is aware and they are working on improving it. A change is already noticable.
First place I've not seen any sexism happening. People are respected for the work they do, that's it.
Colleagues.
It’s 2025, but the company continues to mandate being in the office 4 to 5 days a week. When I joined two years ago, I was able to work from home three days a week, a setup that worked well. Then, without any explanation or clear reasoning, the policy suddenly changed. Strangely, this requirement now depends entirely on your team, there's no consistent policy or standard across departments.
One of the stated reasons for this is that some employees supposedly struggle with asynchronous communication, so being physically present is seen as necessary. There’s also a more unsettling reason that’s been shared by at least one team lead: they simply don’t trust people to work when they're remote. It's hard to reconcile that kind of mindset with effective leadership, trust should be the foundation, not an exception.
To make matters worse, despite pushing everyone back into the office, the company doesn’t offer any meaningful benefits to ease the commute, no public transport subsidies, no bike leasing programs.
All in all, it reflects an outdated approach that doesn’t align with how modern, trust-based workplaces operate.
Introduce the option for remote work, at least partially.
Improve the overall benefits package to match industry standards.
Standardize policies across all teams to ensure fairness and transparency.
While the pay is acceptable, the complete lack of benefits is disappointing.
Friendly colleagues, efficient management, high quality code base
You can focus on getting work done. Colleagues do not work against each other. You can trust everyone.
Flexible work times. You can take a day off on short notice.
No middle management, no politics. Regular lunch groups.
Only qualification counts. Long-serving employees are very valued because of their experience and knowledge of the product.
In the end, everything has to pass review. Expectations are high, which can be frustrating when you do not meet them, but it is even more rewarding when you surpass them.
Think-cell offers optimal working conditions.
In other companies, you may find yourself in endless meetings. At think-cell, communication is efficient and to the point. If you want to know something, you can literally ask everyone anything.
Only qualification counts. Colleagues with newborns go on parental leave without problems.
From what I observed so far, new colleagues start with developing a relatively isolated feature and if successful, continue their journey through the code base and acquire expertise to the point where they can choose what they do next.
So verdient kununu Geld.
