The people of Uberall and the culture seem to be so stable that even the poor management can not break it.

Schlecht am Arbeitgeber finde ich

I am not sure if this company has a longterm chance with this current management. He is not experienced enough and doesn't realize that with his personality and style he can never manage a bigger company. Driven by his multiple opinions, not listening to anyone except his friends - how can he truly step up the game?

Verbesserungsvorschläge

Look at your management team, especially in Tech and Product. Start listening to your (experienced) people there, they have things to say! The lack of experience in Tech management is shocking. If you don't invest there and hire experienced people, this will have longterm damages.

The atmosphere is great thanks to the colleagues and the initiatives coming from HR. Overall the company and the HR Team really care about employees. But this can not hide that this company is a boys club. It's mostly about old friends. Clear favoritism.

Too many decisions related to Tech and Product depend on relationships and friendship. This leads to favoritism and that is basically the management style.

Overall they try hard. But since there is no communication to the managers, cascading information is not happening. It is driven by whom you know and who can provide you with information.

I know that overall this is the aspiration of Uberall. But this will never be the case if they don't admit and see their male dominance.

Interessante Aufgaben

Not in Engineering. Because they don't have experienced managers they also don't know how to set up, organize and develop a Tech team. To have interesting and challenging tasks is the basics in Engineering. But since the boys club is not listening you can not explain it to them.

Within my direct team great. Throughout the company everybody is maximizing for their own gain.

People getting hired from the outside, because of the fancy titles they previously held, without any clear understanding of the job at hand.

The so called "leadership team" is more interested in enforcing their "company values" than actually listening to their employees or developing them.

If you want to advance within the company, it is also good to be personal friends with the right people within the leadership team.

The office is okay, for the past 9 months in Home Office Uberall didn't do anything to improve the working conditions for their employees

Kommunikation

Especially the feedback culture within the company is rotten to the core. Feedback needs to be positive and in-line with the top-down created "company values", if you do not fall in line, you will be downgraded in the yearly evaluation and therefore you will not be eligible for promotions or pay raises.

Criticism especially towards senior leadership and in particular towards the product team is not wanted nor tolerated.

Board all male, leadership team mostly male, senior management 90% male. If you identify as a female, I would think 3 times about joining.

Everyone annoyed, there is a lot of talk of changes and a lot of patting ourselves on the back, but it is all that - just talk. company handled corona really good and we are in remote office but this has highlighted the problems with the really poor leadership and lack of real vision

Depends on what department. I hear some people have great managers and structure and can have good work life balance, others need to work a lot of overtime to get tasks done

I see that you need to be 'in' with the right people to have good advancement or to have your ideas heard. you also have to do more than just your job and be very socially active in order to get top rated at review time which is unfair to those who have families and are unavailable after hours or to do extra work, or simply don't want to be socially active because of being introverted.

So many politics it is hard to keep track. Decisions are made but then whispers happen with certain people and the decision is reversed & creates bad feelings. a lot of 'this is how we do it here so just do it' that turns off alot of good people and a big reason people leave!

Current leadership is chaotic, things change daily, lots of meetings to hear people talk but no real output. You hear a lot of rumours because there is also a lot of politics.

Product is old fashioned in all ways and not innovative. Really it needs to be better, at least make it look modern. And sometimes people are rewarded for being forward and trying new things and others are told to stop this, it is very confusing. Best i think is to keep head down and just do the work you are told to avoid problems.

Check what people from your company are spreading via social media.
Care about how disrespectful the company allows to talk about existing and former colleagues. This would have never happened with the former core team and attitude.

Almost everybody is frustrated. What changed to 1 year ago is that people stopped giving feedback. And still or because of that HR is celebrating itself for a major shift in happiness because of good survey results, implemented feedback processes etc.. Nothing of that is true! I have never heard so much blablabla.

Good. Since the structure and responsibilities are so damn unclear nobody recognizes when you are not working.

I don't understand what they are doing here. Although the team is celebrating for setting up great "new" processes I must say that this was more transparent, easy and equal when it was run by the former responsible team.

Sadly with bad leadership colleagues join who think that the current leadership style is good, because they don't know better and are thankful for lies and mismanagement. There were times when we could say we had a management that was open and engaged. But those people left or were put aside. Since our current HR management/ team is telling us uberall puts people first this clearly stopped. You cannot try to be authentic you can only be it. Without feeling what you say you will never be.

Clearly not there anymore! Definitely not in terms of salaries, definitely not in terms of props given to people. This was way more equally spread before the company started to shout out that everybody is put first, because those days it came naturally from the former management team.

Ich glaube der Zug ist abgefahren, es wird immer wieder Einzelne geben, die noch Motivation haben, oder mal durchdringen und so etwas Kluges umsetzen d√ľrfen. Aber im Grunde habt ihr durch euer Management und die F√ľhrungskr√§fte die Firma still gelegt. Wir werden es bestimmt in den Zahlen sehen, aber jetzt ist ja Corona, da ist ja keiner Schuld. Da k√∂nnen sich dann alle loben wie gut es trotzdem gelaufen ist, und dann 2021 rollen die K√∂pfe und Umsatz stagniert und wir restrukturieren. Bestimmt nicht das letzte mal.

Bef√∂rderungen und Gehaltserh√∂hungen finden angeblich gerecht verteilst statt, da es ja einen Performance-Review-Prozess gibt. Wenn der Prozess aber schlecht ist, dann kann man auch keine sinnvollen Ergebnisse erwarten. Auch mit Bef√∂rderungen l√∂sen sich f√ľr die Einzelnen die Probleme der Gesamtkonstellation nicht.

Wen soll ich hier bewerten, es gibt so viele Vorgesetzte? Das F√ľhrungsteam hat keinen Output, trifft keine Entscheidungen, ist langsam, reagiert nicht auf Feedback, h√∂rt nicht zu, wei√ü es besser und und wei√ü doch nicht, was wirklich in der Firma geschieht. Auf den Ebenen drunter gibt es solche und solche.

Spärlich, einseitig, zu spät, unehrlich, BS als Erfolge verkaufen wollend, nicht selbst reflektiert - so erlebe ich die top-down Kommunikation

Interessante Aufgaben

Nein, alles wurde so geplant, das praktisch die gesamte Firma entscheidungs- und handlungsunf√§hig geworden ist. Die, die Ahnung von der Sache haben, haben nichts zu sagen, stattdessen wollen die, die keine Ahnung haben, und f√ľr die der Gegenstand irrelevant ist, entscheiden und kontrollieren. So wird alles verlangsamt, und Leute arbeiten in unendlichen Kreisen von Rechtfertigungen und Warten.

Wof√ľr m√∂chtest du deinen Arbeitgeber im Umgang mit der Corona-Situation loben?

Sehr klare Kommunikation im Gro√ü und Klein. Sowohl auf Company-Ebene als im pers√∂nlichen Management. Die Firma hat sich sehr gut positioniert, flexibel gegen√ľber allen Schwierigkeiten vom remote arbeiten (vor allem wichtig f√ľr die Leute mit Kindern).

Super happy that the company is able to move from start-up to a grow up working environment and business without losing the dynamic atmosphere.

Not one of those companies where you're expected to work day and night and my weekends are my weekends. I like that we're asked to manage our own time to take responsibility for our tasks.

There's extra budget for education and we now have colleagues that take care of learning and development.
