  • If you are applying for a consulting position, you may be asked to work on a case during one of the in-person interviews. Our cases involve topics and challenges relevant to rpc and we ask candidates to complete them on-site. Don’t worry, we never do stress tests or generic brain teasers.
  • Sometimes we do use trial days as a supplement to the application process. This also lets you get an inside look at us as an employer.
  • The recruiting process can vary depending on the specific position. We strive to make every experience and process as individual as possible.

The goal of the interview process is twofold: on the one hand, we want to learn more about your professional expertise and experience. On the other, we want to understand what makes you tick – and what you’re looking for at this point in your career. Sample projects or situations describing past positions can be helpful at this stage.

In our experience, authenticity and honesty are the most important ingredients in an interview – and that applies to everyone at the table. Before we chat, we recommend you take some time to reflect on your wishes and what is especially important to you.

Auswahlverfahren

Send us your application: You can either apply for a specific opening or send us an unsolicited application through our online tool. We’ll send you a confirmation email on receiving your application.

Review phase and feedback: Our recruiters review your CV (mandatory), cover letter and other materials (optional) and consult with the relevant departments. We strive to provide prompt feedback within 14 days.

Phone interview: Next, one of our recruiters schedules a brief 20 to 30-minute call to get a feel for your current situation and future goals. We also use this time to clarify any questions you may have, as well as your earliest possible starting date and salary expectations.

First in-person interview: If the phone interview goes well, we invite you to meet us in person. This one-hour interview is usually conducted by peers from the relevant department and/or colleagues from HR. At this stage, we mainly want to see how you would fit into the team, but we’ll probably talk a little business, too.

Follow-up interview: Now is the time when you will most likely meet our management, if you have not already. This in-depth conversation (60 to 90 minutes) is about identifying your experience and strengths in order to find the perfect role for you. Be prepared to ask us any questions you may have.

Arbeitsatmosphäre

It is a great office with great people.
Everyone at the office is ver friendly and coming to work is fun!
The line managers support the personal development of their employees. Since there is no "exact" time recording TRUST is a given and lived throughout all hierarchy levels. However... to talk about "hierarchy levels" ... no manager or partner spreads the feeling of "being better".
At RPC we are all equal and approachable - no matter what level!

As a new employee you are welcomed with a on boarding seminar in which you get to know the different departments, vital info, etc.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

Every employee is assigned to a specific line and has a line manager.
I absolutely enjoy working with my line manager.
She is supportive and always available when there are any questions/ concerns.
You do not feel that she/he is "your boss" - we are a team that has a supervisor that is approachable.
Every week there is a jour fixe in which all line relevant information within the team is being shared. As a team member you have the possibility to make suggestions but also be part of the decision making process (if possible).

Kollegenzusammenhalt

All employees are very friendly, supportive and helpful.
If something is needed there is always someone to ask that will help you (eg when it comes to handing out tools for projects, share best practices, etc. Again, we transfer knowledge!

Interessante Aufgaben

The projects at RPC are diverse and I have not seen a project so far that I would not like to be part of!
Projects in different industries.

Kommunikation

Within your project and/ or department team open communication and feedback is a given. Is is objective and supportive.
Every week there is a company-wide team jour fixe. This is a great way to learn about the internal and external development of RPC. Furthermore, every week a team (voluntarily) shares information about their (internal) project or really any topic of interest.
We are not here to bulk and hide information but to exchange knowledge so RPC and every member benefits from it as a whole.

Gleichberechtigung

Men and women are being treated equally.
In all hierarchy levels (besides the highest management) there is a balanced men/ women ratio.

Umgang mit älteren Kollegen

Everyone is welcomed here .. no matter what age, nationality or other factor.

Karriere / Weiterbildung

RPC has an own training academy.
Many different trainings are offered (business English, XLS training, presentation skills, conflict management, etc.). It is a great way to widen your knowledge and I am excited to take part in a training very soon!

Gehalt / Sozialleistungen

This is a consultancy that pay well based on the given responsibilities and previous work experiences.
A bonus structure is given, too.

Arbeitsbedingungen

RPC has a very new office, located very well right next to a underground station.
The offices are inviting and the office furniture is modern/ comfortable. Everything you need is given.
There is free coffee, tea, fruit and sweets.
We have one large kitchen in which we often all eat and cook together for lunch.
There is a gym in the same building where RPC members get a special rate.
There are many more gimmicks, find out about it on the RPC website...

You receive a Macbook (pro or air) and an iPhone that you can also use in your private time.

Work-Life-Balance

Since I am fairly new to RPC I can only give feedback on the work-life-balance based on what I have experienced so far.
We are a consultancy and generally speaking in this field working hours may be longer than for "regular" admin jobs.
However, it is the management's general wish that working hours are being kept to "normal" times.
Of course, as in any other job, there are times where there is a lot to do .... but then management also emphasizes that is is important to find a balance to that high.
Home office is allowed but as of now I cannot really say how well it is being lived.

Holiday times can be flexibly arranged with your responsible manager.

We are a team and I can definitely say that everyone enjoys working at RPC.
they all talk very positively about RPC as a company but also about other team members.
Ruthlessness is a big NO GO. with such an attitude you will not be successful here.

Offene Türen, sehr konstruktive Fehlerkultur, jeder zählt als Individuum, angenehme Arbeitsstimmung, keine Ellbogenkultur.

Vorgesetztenverhalten

Offenheit, Ansprechbarkeit, stärkenorientierter Führungsstil, hohe Freiheitsgrade, viel Vertrauen durch die Führungsebene.

Kollegenzusammenhalt

Viele Unternehmungen der Mitarbeiter auch nach Feierabend; regelmäßige Teamevents; keine Ellbogenkultur, die sich in anderen Beratungen doch ab und zu mal findet.

Interessante Aufgaben

Vor allem können bei Interesse auch Themen initiativ eingebracht und mit hohem Vertrauensvorschuss eigenständig bearbeitet werden.

Karriere / Weiterbildung

Weil das Unternehmen noch jung ist, entwickelt sich auch das Angebot an Weiterbildungsmöglichkeiten sukzessive noch weiter. Dafür gibt es aber schon sehr viele Trainingsangebote, und auch individuelle Weiterbildungswünsche können nach Absprache in der Regel umgesetzt werden.

Es gibt kein Up-or-out-Prinzip, sondern es wird versucht, Mitarbeitern nach ihren Stärken und Interessen einen individuellen Karrierepfad zu bauen oder auch ihn sich selbst bauen zu lassen.

Gehalt / Sozialleistungen

Als Benefits gibt es bisher weniger die konzerntypischen Angebote wie vwL und Weihnachtsgeld, sondern mehr Start-up-typische wie MacBooks und iPhones auch zur privaten Nutzung, kostenloses Obst, Getränke und Süßigkeiten, wöchentliche Frühstücke und regelmäßige Teamevents. Darüber hinaus Zuzahlungen zum Firmenwagen, eine BAV und Englischkurse.

Work-Life-Balance

Sicherlich keine 38-h-Woche, aber das würde der Dynamik des Unternehmens und der Branche Beratung/Trainingsdienstleister auch nicht entsprechen. Individuelle Wünsche werden dennoch berücksichtigt.

Verbesserungsvorschläge

  • Bei dem starken Wachstum des Unternehmens gilt es, immer wieder Strukturen und Prozesse anzugleichen, und bei der hohen Dynamik muss insgesamt gut priorisiert werden - beides passiert aber.

Sehr gutes Arbeitsklima und sehr guter Kollegenzusammenhalt; viel Vertrauen und offene Kommunikation; sehr konstruktive Fehlerkultur; viel Flexibilität und hohe Freiheitsgrade; Eigenverantwortung und Gestaltungsspielraum; spannende Retail-Themen.
