There is often a very polished and highly curated atmosphere at Netlight. From the outside, events such as parties or summits can appear similar to influencer-style gatherings, where everything looks extremely positive and energetic. In my experience, this public impression does not always fully reflect the day-to-day reality, which can feel more ordinary and less performative.

As an non native employee, I often felt that the company's public messaging around diversity did not align with my personal experience. I perceived German language proficiency as having a significant impact on networking, visibility, and career progression. I also found the compensation process lacking transparency, which left me with the impression that advancement opportunities were not equally accessible to everyone.

Netlight hat eine spezielle Kultur, insbesondere die kleinen Offices sind mit den großen überhaupt nicht vergleichbar was Aufgaben, Arbeitsaufwand etc. angeht. Auch die Benefits unterscheiden sich stark von Office zu Office und sollten einhaltlich geregelt sein.

the downside of loving your job you sometimes work too much
Überstunden bis zu einer gewissen Anzahl abgegolten, wenn man allerdings mal seine echte Arbeitszeit erfassen möchte, gibt es sofort „Feedback“ (aka Ärger von oben). Als Berater wird man für 40 Stunden an den Kunden verkauft, alles weitere kommt on top. Z.B. verpflichtende Treffen mit „Mentor“ (diszipl. Vorgesetzter), „Lunch meetings“ und alles, woran man teilnehmen muss um weiter zu kommen (z.B. afterworks). Wer sich nicht häufig genug zeigt wird auf einem Level sitzen gelassen und darf sich beruflich umorientieren.
Ein starker Fokus auf Kundenarbeit kann die Karriereentwicklung einschränken, da Mitarbeiter oft als reine "Umsetzer" wahrgenommen werden, ohne dass ihr strategisches Potenzial anerkannt wird. Obwohl Kunden das Fundament des Unternehmenserfolgs sind, führt die Vernachlässigung interner Sichtbarkeit und persönlicher Weiterentwicklung häufig dazu, dass andere, die sich auf interne Netzwerke und Projekte konzentrieren, schneller aufsteigen.
