I really appreciated to learn a bit of a new culture and getting to know the people from the cambodian office, although it was a pity to have little personal contacts due to the distance.
At the end of my mandate there was coaching sessions offered and they have been really helpful to me, although the short amount of time.

It is challenging at times to work in a developing country context. Simple tasks might require more energy than usual and (quality) resources are limited.

Stop turning a blind eye or excusing the unacceptable. Have the courage to face and deal with internal and personal issues. Make your professed culture to be a reality, with the management showing the example, or at least have the honesty not to profess one thing when the reality is the opposite covered with a varnish.
