There is great cohesion within the engineering team in particular. Once a quarter, a workshop week takes place, where engineering topics can be discussed away from the daily business. You don't have to be hesitant to ask questions, and everyone is happy to help.
The office setup in Frankfurt is fantastic – it's all hip and contemporary, right by the water, and there's a ton of space to spread out. They even stock up on coffee, snacks, and there's a fridge with beer. The kitchen is huge too, so you can unwind after hours if you've got company.<br/>Standing desks and comfy chairs are the norm, but when it comes to laptops, it's a bit of a struggle to get something above average. Even if you manage to snag a MacBook, which eats up like 2-4% of your salary or even less of your total comp, it's barely enough to handle the necessary tasks. Honestly, I don't get why us engineers aren't getting the machines we really deserve.
