As a recruiter at Venturi you are expected to:

  • Use sales business development, marketing techniques & networking to attract business from client companies.
  • Develop a good understanding of client companies, their industries, what they do, their work culture & environment
  • Advertise vacancies by drafting and placing adverts on jobs boards and social media
  • Use social media to advertise positions, attract candidates and build relationships
  • Receive and review job applications, manage interviews and tests and create shortlists of candidates for clients
  • Preparing CVs and correspondences to forward to clients regarding suitable applicants
  • Organising interviews for candidates as requested by the client
  • Informing candidates about the results of their interview
  • Working towards and exceeding targets that may relate to the number of candidates placed, a value to be billed to clients or business leads generated
  • Offering advice to both clients and candidates on pay rates, training and career progression

  • When looking for applicants we like to see confident, self-motivated, outgoing individuals with a great telephone manner. We prize tenacious, resilient people who are target driven and competitive.

    Previous sales experience is a bonus, but it's not a problem if you don't have any provided you have the right attitude to succeed

  • Before you apply do some research into the role of a recruiter. What the job entails day to day and the different types of recruiter (360, 180). Here's a link to the Prospects website. It's a great starting point for your research.

    Look at all the positives and all the negatives to a career in recruitment. We would strongly advise you look at the downsides as well as the good things as we'd want you to make an informed decision on whether this is the right career for you.

    Find out what traits make a successful recruiter or sales professional and get some examples of where you've demonstrated them skills.

    Lastly, if you know anyone who works in recruitment speak to them and get their insights into a career in recruitment.

  • Our process starts with a telephone screening where you'll speak with either Priya or one of our internal recruitment team.
