I like very much working at SMR every day. Nice and supportive colleagues. Challenging and innovative work and technologies that I like very much.
They are all great and supportive and help to develop each employee. They are very skilled in their topic like software embedded and algorithms or hardware design and architectures, safety and testing.
Very supportive and open culture in an international company. You get a mentor from the very beginning that you can ask and that helps you proactively. Also I can ask others and they like to help. We also have on every floor social rooms and kitchens to meet each other and discuss different topics.
SMR is driving innovation in the field of camera-based technologies. They are working towards autonomous driving, compelex algorithms, safety critical hardware platforms. It is very interesting and challenging. For me the time flows by every day very quickly.
Communication is very good like internal newsletter, regular company wide and department wide as well as tema wide meetings concerning news, strategy, knowledge transfer and customer engagement. Rgeular and well organized project meetings.
If male or female, if from Germany or other companies they don't make any difference. I would even say SMR is a very good example how a mixed team should work together.

There is a wide spread in ages from young to elder people. They are all treated same and fully respected.
Karriere / Weiterbildung
You can make carreer in teh direction of techology like from junior engineer to senior to lead engineer in your topic or you can take the track of becoming a team leader and dpt manager. Since the ADAS department is growing there are continuously new positions for new options to grow.
Gehalt / Sozialleistungen
I would say the salary level is very good. Maybe even a bit higher because they are also competing with more known bigger companies. But I would say more improtant are the existing tasks and the innovative product that I would like to work on. Hence, all in all it is very good.
Is very good. I've the latest equipment and if sth is missing I can just order. The company is inevsting a lot in that. Thas's great.
Work-life-balance is good. There is also a strong workers council that helps. Looks like soon there will also be home office allowed - hopefully. From time to time this would be nice but not yet given. But there is flex time that is very nice. You must only be there from 10 am to 2 pm. You can also take off if you have over time.
I think SMR is not yet well known in Stuttgart or Germany. I know that several years ago there were a lot of reorganization and employee fluctuation. But this has been improved at lot. Now it is very good. I would also say that SMR could do more in marketing at universities and newspapers or social media. A very good step was to update the homepage with what SMR ADAS is doing nowadays and not years ago.
- Home office would be nice. But I heard the managment is working on that.
New innovative technologies, freedom to operate, I can bring in my interest and drive things forward. But I also like free ice cream in summer time and the fantastic Christmas parties. Or free sparkling water and the nice colleagues.
