Whether you like to listen to music with headphones or jiggle with the people around you, you're free to work in the atmosphere you prefer.
Leads are very human people that respect you and treat you as a team member. "How are you feeling?" and "Is there something more I can do for you?" are questions you'll hear quite often in feedback talks.
Here, colleagues are not only the people you work with but also the people that you end up becoming friends with. I left almost a year and a half ago and the friends I made there are still the ones I hang out with nowadays.
Sadly you are limited to your team's borders, but time to work on a specific project (helping another team, making a tool for yours...) is granted when requested once you have earned trust.
Cross-team communication is as good as you make it. People enjoy a good collaboration and leads are very people-driven.
"Discrimination" is not part of the GGS vocabulary. You can come as you are and you will integrate there faster than anywhere else thanks to their open-minded and international community.
Umgang mit älteren Kollegen
People there are quite young -as is common in the gaming industry- but you will never see anyone be excluded because of age or any other difference.
Karriere / Weiterbildung
Except if you are extremely lucky, chances to get to a higher or different position are quite low. However you will gain "seniority" and move through different responsibility and salary levels for the same position.
Gehalt / Sozialleistungen
You get the usual benefits (free fruits/coffee, team/corporate events, flexi-time...) but sadly this is undertoned by a salary lower compared to the industry standards. Definitely perfect for a first job but you won't climb the ladder quickly there.
Working conditions are good but can't be altered unless you have a medical condition. That means you will have very good equipment but also exactly the same as everyone else in your team.
Umwelt- / Sozialbewusstsein
Everyone is quite eco-conscious without it being a corporate priority.
Very good, flexi-time is definitely a big plus here. Crunch time might be offered very occasionally -once or twice a year- to support other teams but is always on a volunteer basis and compensated somehow.
As anywhere you will find people that keep complaining about small details. The company image was definitely affected by the events of 2016/2017 but a good 95% of what came out in the media was not accurate.
